Comments Thread For: Moses Itauma doesn?t care what Oleksandr Usyk thinks: ?I know the truth?

Moses Itauma was oozing with confidence at the post-fight press conference following his impressive finish of the-never-before-stopped Jermain Franklin

Itauma is no doubt going to be a future champion. He's fast, powerful, and I especially love the way he feints and toys with the guard to land shots.

But he was sucking air after the first round trying to get Franklin out of there early. That suggests to me he still needs a bit of refining before he's ready for someone like Usyk, who knows how to dictate pace better than almost anyone and who still appears to have a full gas tank.

I also think he needs to fight someone a lot fresher. Franklin and Whyte (to some extent) were battle tested and tough, but they were also older and slower.

I would add that Whyte didn't look like he had been dedicated to training before his Itauma bout and prior to this fight, the comments on Boxing Scene were saying the same thing about Franklin. I'm not sure that anything could have been learnt from this latest match up.

Moses Itauma is very cleverly being matched, but let's be real? This version of Jermaine Franklin was not better than the version of Franklin who Joshua beat 'Franklin weighed in at 258 pounds last night, but vs. Anthony Joshua he was 234 pounds'.

I stated that this fight could be another Dillian Whyte situation i.e a fight where Itauma is fighting against an opponent who is miles outside of their peak. But a fighter who will look good on his resume, and produce a great highlight for certain people in the boxing community to go wild'.

Note: What Itauma done last night is no different to what David Price and Anthony Joshua were as they rose through the domestic and European ranks of the game 'of course unbeaten prospect fighters are always going to produce knockouts and look great in stylistically easy match ups'.

Well I personally think Anthony Joshua and David Price were beating better fighters at domestic level than Itauma 'Go and look at their resumes'.

For whatever reason Frank Warren is refusing to match Moses Itauma in a real unmanufactured fight 'against a opponent who is not miles outside of their peak or completely inactive like both Dillian Whyte and Jermaine Franklin'.

To conclude: If anyone thinks those kind of fights prepare Moses Itauma for a World title fight 'they must not know anything about boxing'.

Overall Moses Itauma is a talented fighter, but I am still dubious of his management and he really does need to be involved in a high jeopardy fight 'which has not been manufactured to create a image for the casual sports and certain boxing fans to go wild' etc.

other way around when they fight next year

Biblical Moses is only getting better from here and can squeeze in 3 fights for further development before facing Oleksandr in Q4 2027

This headline is such bait. He's actually being very respectful of Usyk, while headline makes him sound like a douche.

Plenty of great fights out there for Itauma to build himself up. Dubois - clear way to cement his status as top contender. Joshua - past vs. the future match similar to Wlad/AJ. Wardley/Kabayel - leapfrogs them to the top.

Godspeed, I don't think so, but I agree to disagree here.

Stop the press with click bait, had to check i wasn't on bn24.
So Moses looked good against a litteral overweight punch bag, woop.
Kabayel & several others are all head of the que, besides Usyk won't like the bodywork he saw from Moses.
