Perhaps the plan is for them to clean out 154 before moving to 160. I think Fundora is going to get clipped hard and get reduced to being a journeyman.

Nobody will question it. If the dude can make the weight, that's it, period. Boxing was never measured by height. It was about weight. If he can make the weight, which I heard he even came in 2lbs under the limit vs Thurman, then that's it. There have been obvious weight bullies in boxing. Literally using the weight to beat their opponents. Now you want to claim height bully? Sebastian can't change that no matter what day of the week it is.
I don't question at all that Fundora doesn't move up in weight. If he can make the weight, then that's that. Let him be the final boss type opponent. It makes for more fun fights. He's not unbeatable as we've seen. So you can't say, the only reason he's undefeated is because of his attributes. He literally has gotten better every fight since his KO loss.
It's admirable and now becomes a point where you side with Fundora because of his humble personality and see if his opponent can come up with a strategy to beat him.Last edited by ELPacman; 03-30-2026, 11:09 PM.Comment

I have the exact same fear for him. He marches in with his hands down too much, especially when throwing those long uppercuts. It's revealing that he never tried to avenge the Mendoza loss.Comment

He might decide to eventually but maybe not since he's looking for the biggest names now. He's not going to go from Thurman to Mendoza who just lost on the undercard. Not to mention, I think every single person who scored that fight had Fundora up before the knockout where he got careless and just stood there with his hands down taking that fully loaded bomb. So it's up to him really if he cares enough to run it back with Mendoza.ELPacman He's already been beaten and has never avenged that KO loss. If a journeyman like Mendoza can do that at 154, he has to be wondering what can happen at 160, 168 and 175.
I personally don't care if he decides not to. I want to see him in the most exciting fights at this point against the top level opponents out there.Comment

The way boxing works is this. You train as hard as you can, get into the best shape possible that you feel you can perform your best at, and step on the scale. Whatever weight that is, that's your best fighting weight. Fundora makes 154 with room to spare. Why should he go up to please fans, if his best fighting weight is 154 and he makes it comfortably? When he got knocked out, the same critics said "he was exposed", "he was all hype", he's a bum with no chin". Now that he's whipping some ass, the chatter becomes "he's a weight bully", "why doesn't he fight someone his own size?", "he should bulk up and face AJ", etc. Come on people,👍 2Comment

I don't hear him calling anyone out.
