That performance really convinced me that Fundora is the best at 154. I have no idea how Boots or Zayas can beat that. Maybe Boots is fast and explosive enough to get inside but nobody on this earth can beat Fundora at mid to long range. He immediately controls the center of the ring and has you running around like a little child. He's just too intelligent and his height allows him to see everything coming at him from a mile away. I haven't even talked about his hand speed, bricks for fist, or anything else. Man, what a fighter.

People will still say he hasn't beaten anyone even though there are a fair amount of fighters who became World Champions in their late 30s and 40s. This had nothing to do with Thurman being old or out of shape. That fight was a display of one man's style being far superior to his opponents. It's simple as that. I don't want to hear anything about Thurman because he was ready and in fighting shape.

    He just lost, that's it.

Did not see a ton of people picking against Fundora, so no real surprise. I am a little impressed how easy he made it look though. Guy is throwing leather with extreme confidence

Yes. Having a member of the opposing team & a state athletic commission watch the handwraps being applied, followed by the inspector signing the wraps, then accompanying the fighter until he enters the ring just isn't enough is it?

Did you have high expectations for Thurman going into this bout?

No....keith Thurman like 3 inches shorter than he say he is, and fundora a good 3 inches taller than he says...so no this was done after the face off and chair stunt

Yea but he had all the answere's after the fight, it was the Ref's fault, it was about to turn in his favor he was right where he wanted to be so he said. He may look in the mirror or he may see the truth later but if he continues he will be much more damaged in a lot more ways if he continues to fight. Yes he made money and the promoters can make a few more bucks on him if he decides or beleives his own words and steps back in, this was very predictable and he should thank the Ref for saving some of his face and skull when he did stop it. Not insult him or low ball Fundora.

Real Men Can Admit When They're Wrong: I had a chance to watch the full fight. I still think the ref could have let the fight continue, but I am okay with the stoppage. Thurman took a lot of damage in a short amount of time. He wasn't moving from side to side enough, he was slow, and he got hit too much. While, a fight could change, I didn't see it working in Thurman's favor. His corner gave bad advice. They were giving him advice like he could win on points. He only had a puncher's chance - a chance for a knockout only.

The funniest thing to me were the people that thought Thurman had any chance at all

Thurman had a puncher's chance. I thought his road to victory would be a knockout. I couldn't see him winning on points. Thurman is pretty accomplished in his career to ignore some of his accolades. But to see him in the ring against Fundora, showed how much he was at a disadvantage. He was slow, he wasn't elusive, and he couldn't touch Fundora enough.

TBH, while Fundora is a problem in the ring, I still question his chin. I believe the right opponent can knock him out. Also. Mind you he doesn't wear glasses in the ring. I have a feeling that if you tap his jaw just right, that he'll have all sorts a vision problems in that fight.
