Doesn't surprise me. Marquez could barely throw, and when he did he didn't hit. Makes it even more embarrassing to me that Mayweather didn't get him out of there, he could have at any point after the third.

If he wasnt going to do it by a flashy left hook then he didnt want to do it, he didnt want to beat Marquez up like that, he felt sorry for him I think, no need to embarass a proud warrior who didnt trash you in the media beforehand.Comment

let it go dude.... the fighter that went by the name of Calzaghe is long gone and not missed by the boxing community. So just let it go.What is ****** is that you think theirs anything impressive about beating a fighter up who never fought above 135.
Your joke ass fighter, and you joke ass Americans who picked Lacy to destroy Calzaghe now you pathetic ****s turn your back on Lacy like the cowards you are.
Lacy was an overly hyped bum from day one. Lets not get things mixed up either, Joe's name wasn't even mentioned in this article. So why is his and Lacy's name brought into the mix?Last edited by WESS; 10-22-2009, 11:07 AM.Comment

Its not a bad way to look at things, of course you can pick it apart. The biggest problem I beleieve is about the names Mayweather and Jones. People have a problem with these on anything other than a loss next to them. More so in Mayweather's case these days.Percentage doesn't say much. It should be punches landed.
Let's say that boxer A throws 50 punches in a fight and connecting with 40 which would give an 80% connect ratio. If the other guy (boxer B) throws 500 while landing 300 he'll only get a percentage of 60. While using the percentage as gauge you'd say that boxer A dominated boxer B while in reality it's the other way around.
So calling this thread the greatest one-sided beatings and supporting the claim with the statistic 'Connection-percentage' just fails.
Like I said this thread is not a bad way to look and judge things from a different perspective. Its personal issues people have with the fighters themselves....Comment

James Toney in his prime, Mayweather, Hopkins and Jones, what did you expect? For these guys to take more hits than a Cotto or Margarito?Comment
Possible broken nose!
