Pretty much. Marqy wanted to come up in weight to chase Pac. And what remarkably short memories people have. Floyd has been the outweighed man..or "midget" in several of his fights. Say.. Corrales for instance. corrales was 146 on fight night.. Floyd was like 136. Maybe he was just giving JMM the same benefit of the doubt he wished he had as he was moving up in weight classes. As it turned out..Jmm just wasn't up to the task, but Floyd was when he did it, so maybe he was just giving JMM that chance.
btw...I never picked no Lacey to beat no Calzaghe

There are other fights with bigger connect margins but not recorded by Compubox so this list is not accurate. I even saw am undercard fight with the winner just landing around 6 punches out of 20 average per round compared to his opponents 40 out of 50 punches. That winner just threw a liver punch on the 9th round.

Percentage doesn't say much. It should be punches landed.
Let's say that boxer A throws 50 punches in a fight and connecting with 40 which would give an 80% connect ratio. If the other guy (boxer B) throws 500 while landing 300 he'll only get a percentage of 60. While using the percentage as gauge you'd say that boxer A dominated boxer B while in reality it's the other way around.
So calling this thread the greatest one-sided beatings and supporting the claim with the statistic 'Connection-percentage' just fails.

Do you blame the motorcycle or the ground for when a daredevil decides to jump 10 buses and crashes and burns? This was all a gamble on Marquez...and his chances all depended on him...dude wasn't 1 and 0 when he got in that ring...so to say it shouldn't count for Floyd is ******...should it have counted for Marquez if he had won?
