Bivol's a natural career-long LHW and Canelo looked way smaller on fighter night. Plus, Canelo just came off clearing out an entire division of previously undefeated champions, give the legend a break.

Canelo sees Benavidez for the weight bully he is. No rehydration clause on a HW? Fight him with an unfair weight advantage? That's hilarious.
You love giving Canelo excuses to DUCK. Basically ALL boxers walk around at a lot higher weight than what they fight at. Then they go into training camp and reduce that weight. Then they cut weight. Then they rehydrate. But the rehydration weight isn't their walk around weight. Even if Benavidez is walking around at 225, which I don't believe he his, he's not rehydrating to 225. At 175 he is probably rehydrating to 200. At 168 probably 190. And that's probably only 5 or 8 lbs more than Canelo. If you have to cut too much weight to make weight you're going to have all sorts of problems. That's why a lot of fights get cancelled. Guys passing out, being dehydrated, etc. Vergil Ortiz suffered from rhabdomyolysis, likely at least partially caused by trying to make 147. So, it's actually a detriment to be too far off of weight, not an advantage.

But all of that doesn't matter. Simply put, if you can make weight in division, that's LEGIT. And, as Champion, you need to face your mandatories. If you don't want to, drop the belts.

Btw, and this isn't the first time I've said it, Canelo had a GREAT run to become undisputed champion at 168. Very impressive. And if Benavidez didn't blow weight and lose his belt on the scale then Canelo couldn't have avoided him to become undisputed.

Zurdo's resume at CW is better than Opetaia's. And there are two belts on the line. Plus, this fight is staking a claim at Cinco de Mayo, looking to take over the Mexican holiday's from Canelo. But, for the record, if Zurdo fought Opetaia, I'd pick Opetaia to win.

Buff Guy Jai's SKILLED SLUGGER style would beat Fat Dave's swarming too imo

the style puts him right into the line of fire of Buff Guy Jai

fight would be good while it lasts as Buff Guy Jai is open for rear uppers a punch Fat Dave can throw

Buff Guy Jai is a task for Top Soviet Bivol who has the fighting feet and jab to outbox him

Buff Guy Jai jab is alright but not great

20 years ago as an young amateur I was caught at 72-3kg weight between 69 and 75 divisions. I dried myself down to 69 and I've got knocked out ,next time I went at 75 and I got the KO. The point is I never will undertstand weight cutting ,it just take so much out of you.
Btw just remind you that before the Bivol fight Canelo asked WBC to give him shot at the WBC cruiser champ Makabu. It's seems 25 pound are not the actual problem. Canelo picking up Khan and Charlo two division it's ok ...

David's defense (head movement, blocking with arms, etc) is very good. He can be right in front of you and still make you miss. It would be a tough fight for both guys. Hard to say who would win. But, though I favor Benavidez to beat Zurdo, we won't know until they fight. Then we'll have a better idea of how Opetaia vs Benavidez might look.

Fat Dave as defender prefers blocks over making miss

Combos that alternate between body head have bypassed his guard in the past Ronald Caleb Demetrius

or counter Fat Dave which Gvozdyk and Cuban Dave did

I consider blocking punches as well as avoiding punches as "making you miss."

And a high volume fighter is going to get hit. The key is not to get hit cleanly and to give more than you get.

My grandmother's resume at cruiserweight is better than Opetaia's. He's still a nightmare style for Benavidez aka Pear Man.

same it'd be easier for Buff Guy Jai to improve upon what Ronald and Cuban Dave did than for Fat Davey to emulate Mairis
