C'mon Cliff even you know this question is total horseshit. How many champions back in the day took less fights in longer periods of time? Granted most champions then fought a hell of a lot more often. That's why I always liked Larry Holmes. Back to the question, if the kid trully is hurt, he shouldn't vacate the title. Let the other guys figure out if there is a top contender while Kelly gets his act together. Staph infections can be especially nasty and problematic if someone has MRSA or any resistant bacteria hanging around in them. Kelly's reign has been pathetic at best, I relly didn't see much for him with what he had to work with outside of a possible epic fight with Arthur Abraham. But even by my previous standards his has been sad. I hope he is able to prove us otherwise, or at the minimum given the opportunity to at least try.

          Dee,

There are little things like venues, TV dates, money, camp, etc involved.

Maybe Paul Williams wanted to spend Christmas and New Years with his family instead of at camp. Have you ever considered that?

Perhaps HBO had other programming the day before the highly rated AFC and NFC championship games.

Maybe since Kelly has postponed twice, Williams has (justifiably) lost confidence in what he hears from Team Pavlik.

Shane/Berto is on the 30th. Maybe HBO didn't want to broadcast back-to-back WCB cards in January.

          Sigh.

It is obvious that Paul Williams will not get Pavlik or even Mosley to step in the ring with him. He needs to move on & fight some other guy come December.

I don't think he should step aside just yet but his team should definitely stop scheduling fights before the staph infection fully heals.

Pavlik is bitching out, just like Haye. He would have lost anyway.
