He's not a household name.
Teo is expired goods. Right now, he offers little more than name recognition. Is anyone really interested in seeing him fight? Just my opinion

Maybe if Raul Curriel can beat Rocha then he can get that fight. I just don't know who he has beaten to get a Championship fight but alas, they're both signed with Oscar. So it would be a really easy fight to make while he waits around for Haney. If we're trying to draw interest while picking someone from the Golden Boy stable then I would go with Rocha because God knows that Oscar De La Hoya doesn't have any other competition for Ryan at 147.

Even if Ryan Garcia had a super elite work ethic, I still think he is extremely beatable at top level 'when you survey the landscape for him, the best fight to make is against Conor Benn if? Golden boy want to keep him as a champion'.

Note: I think in a equal fight Devin Haney smashes him, Teofimo Lopez in good form also beats him. A fight against Bryan Norman is not really a big fight.

What fight I do like is vs. Richardson Hitchins 'and they can stage that fight in New York. But first Hitchins would need to move up into the 147 pound divisons, which is almost enviable at some point in his career.

To conclude: So I would say, in an ideal world his next fight should be against Conor Benn 'then make the rematch vs. Devin Haney II. Beause it is a mega fight'.

But I kind of sense that Oscar De La Hoya, and Golden Boy Promotions want to keep Ryan Garcia as a Champion 'to maximize his star potential. It is clear to me that his fanbase are not really super clued up about boxing, and may just want to see him win vs. any fighter. Keep the show rolling'.

I would not be surprised if Ryan Garcia just retires out of the blue, he has clearly achieved his main objective 'from this point on in his career, everything to him may be a bonus' etc.

Instead Shakur is apparently going back to 135 lol
