It could happen. The new belt holder called out everybody after the Barrios fight, but he then talked his way out of all those fights. He's allegedly in negotiations to fight Teo, but they're both good at sabotaging fights before they happen. One unification coming up and the winner should fight Crocker next. That could give Karen, Norman Jr or even Stanionis time to become mandatory and take the belt before the WBC starts playing games.

Let Ryan marinate on social media and maybe play with Benn and Teo while the adults focus on important things. Those 3 are perfect for one another, talk talk talk and really just looking to cash out cause they know the end is near.

I don't see Ryan Garcia as a long time reigning champion; I just don't think he has really shown the attributes and work ethic to maintain his form 'and? His form is nothing special, his win vs. Mario Barrios was one of the easiest title fights in recent times'.

It was an easy title fight in the sense that 'I think many fighters from the past decade that have not won world titles. Would have all beaten Barrios quite easily, Luke Campbell is still Garcia's best win. Campbell unfortunately never became a World Champion, but he was clearly skill for skill a better boxer than Mario Barrios'.

Boxing at times is a sport about timing, and having the awareness to seize an opportunity 'Ryan Garcia deserves credit for seizing the opportunity. But all the engineering was done by Oscar De La Hoya and Golden boy promotions'.

That is why I think? Ryan Garcia's team need to strike real quick 'and keep him active. The most winnable and biggest fights for Ryan Garcia are against Conor Benn and Rolando Romero II'.

To conclude: Outside of those fights, I think he is liable to being completely smashed up 'or just sabotaging himself outside of the ring with poor work ethic and sub-optimal lifestyle choices'.

The biggest narrative driven fight he can be involved in is vs. Devin Haney II 'but? That match up would be better to make, after Ryan Garcia achieves a few title defenses of his WBC World title' etc.

Good points they have to strike quickly with him to maximum effect to get the most because if they try and delay have common opponents or mandos fight Ryan he could just not be mentally or physically ready then get upset. This could happen anytime in any fight with Ryan so I like your next few fights tradjectory for him.

why not curiel? because cissokho. wbc had random title fights at welterweight for 3 years starting with barrios' undeserved shot at #1 ugas for their interim belt. it's enough. or i have a better idea. every mandatory, #1 and swerved boxer should sue them and destroy them. one cancer less.

Stevenson demanded a catchweight, he wasn't serious about challenging Ryan, he was clout chasing. Haney signed to fight Rolly but my guess is he and Ryan are on a collision course for a rematch at sometime. Teo isn't a bad fight. He might be more comfortable at 147. There's no money in Curiel. He's not a household name.

"Luke Campbell is still Garcia's best win... " That pretty much says it all. Anyway, Teo will be too small and too cautious, and Davis too big a risk. I'd like to see him against Bryan Norman! But won't happen...

He just won the WBC 147 belt and we're suggesting Curiel for his first defense?
