Because he was not going to push outside his comfort zone for a fight like this , read BTW , he has been out for 2 years , Floyd said he was 145 the morning of the weigh-in and was confident of making weight , when he finds out he went up a pound then decided he is not going to hurt himself at the last minute , so he didnt try real hard to lose it , the 600 grand is nothing in the big picture ,,, what value you put on all the free publicity he got out off pulling that stunt , your one of the ones that fell into the whole **** , controversy ,, Floyd thrives on it and it pays big dollars ,,,,, apply what we know about his history with weight throughout his career , because if I got to estimate I would sooner go with known history not baseless guesses , what your saying is he gained upwards of 12 pounds ,, that doesnt mesh with what we know ,,, but who cares about what we know right , lets just throw **** all over web based on what we dont know , why dont we give it a name and call it " boxing hype " !

I don't know the legitimacy of it since it is WWE, but I remember when Floyd had a match against the Big Show at Wrestlemania, he step up on the scale and weighed about 162 if I remember correctly. The scale might have been rigged since it is WWE, but I doubt they would do that just to add a few pounds for Floyd. He looked cut and definitely in great shape and this was during his retirement. So he does walk around over 160 and he did look bigger and more solid than 148 pound Marquez. My guess is he weighed in about 152-155 that night. Never know for sure.Comment
