Ill tell you something else also. Floyd loves reading threads like this and articles from guys like Scoop Malinowski. Its one thing to rip him for whatever reason but he loves it so much when people say that he is ducking Pac and would never fight him. He loves it because thats the 1 guy he 100% wants to fight and now with everyone saying that he's scared, it will have the added bonus of making him look like a warrior in alot of guys eyes for the 1st time

Dude, its night & day. Again, I wish that I had video of the post fight presser on ESPN news. They have some of it on youtube but its from a different camera that is low to the ground so you really cant tell but if you watched ESPN News after the fight and saw Floyd stand side by side with Mosley, it was night & day. Shane looked way way way bigger, fighting shape or not. When I was looking at them I was saying that I can see why Shane wants the fight so bad because he must look at Floyd and think that he can break him in half, seriously

            BUT

if you know anything about the human anatomy, it was Mayweathers big shoulders that made him look much bigger. Marquez had a thick torso, much thicker than Mayweathers.

The Mayweather that fought DLH was significantly bigger than Marquez and what did he weigh in that fight? About 148 on fight night.
No way, man. My first thought soon as the bell rang was wow, look at the size of Mayweather's calves! Mayweather looked significantly bigger than Marquez--not because of the height but because he was significantly bigger! The man refused to tip the unofficial scales, something he's never had a problem doing before. If he'd gained only a pound or two more, do you seriously think Floyd "Money" Mayweather would give a **** what you thought of that? He knew he had ballooned a tad (why wouldn't he take advantage?) and kept it quiet. No need to spoil the story. If I had to put a number on it I'd say around 156. We'll never know but to claim he barely gained weight from fight night is, in my opinion, stretching it a bit.

Floyd said he feels "fat" if he goes over 152 when he's not in fighting shape.

I think Marquez is simply smaller than people expected. Floyd wasn't a lb over 150 in the ring.

How do people keep missing it?

Floyd was about 152-154 against Oscar on fight night. If you compare the photos of his fights with Oscar and Marquez, you can quickly discern the difference in size. His body against Oscar was much bigger than what it looked against Marquez.

I gather he weighed about the same as Marquez. But we might never know for sure.

no he didn't... he was around 160 lbs.

I think he purposely acted as if he couldn't make weight, to scare the Pacquiao camp into thinking he was too big for Pacquiao. The Mayweather camp always goes on about "having a good career" and if that means ducking, they have no problems with that. There attitude is "everyone ducks somebody at some point". It was a win - win situation because it pretty much demoralized the destined to lose Marquez anyways.
why the **** would they want to scare team pac? they want to win that lottery.

My other reasons are because Mayweather repeatedly says "he's to big" for Pacquiao, in reference to his fight with Marquez.
floyd IS too big for pac.

However, in interviews he says he's soft at 152 and feels heavy. He also said he was 147 lbs on fight night against Marquez.
floyd was not 152 or 147 on fight night against jmm... he was close to 160 lbs.

Marquez camp said Mayweather was probably 152.
                    link or it never happened.

Mayweather Sr then says Pacquiao is taking steroids, that's basically a compliment and a sign of fear all in one.
yes, the mayweathers are scared because they never seen a guy come up from 106 lbs and destroy a linear 140 lbs champion in 2 rounds.

Mayweather looked even smaller than when he fought DLH (his biggest IMO) and he was what, 147-148 in that fight?. Mayweather is doing it to make Pacquiaos camp think he's to big. He knows he can't duck Pacquiao or the media will kill him, so his plan is already working. Some people think he's to big for Pacquiao.

Just a notion to think about...
maybe they do wanna duck pac.... they sure are making it hard to negotiation a fight w/ pac.
