This is one of those fights where you know Inoue is going to win but you also know Nakatani is going to land something big and pull off the upset. It feels like an obvious upset but my brain won't allow me to pick against Inoue.

        Should be a great fight.

Japan time fights are tough to catch. Usually 5am or so where I live. Will have to record.

            On the co-main
I want to see Tomoya Tsuboi (worlds amateur champion) fight Bam Rodriguez for the WBC strap.
I think its a great chance for Bam/Tsuboi to get mass recognition, and potentially set up a fight vs the winner.

Nakatani knows to pick his punches well at midrange and has the most significant reach advantage at the division even if not everything has translated to the same pedigree, likely won't from now on. Wouldn't be shocked if either got dropped early in the fight, but think they be even at the start, but Inoue has too much experience and punching power.

Good analysis and i agree but i favor Nakatani but i can see both guys getting dropped.

You will be suprised how rong you are and how you can't see that Nakatani has the style to beat Inoue by KO. Inoue will not dominate even if he wins he will be super hesitant and try to make it a high level chess match.

Preach on, the Choir is listening my friend. Anyone complaining about this fight is either a chronic complainer that can not be made happy or a true boxing hater. Like hate for the entire sport.

This is a crazy interesting fight and I am so glad they got it over the finish line. Amazing what happens when both fighters actually want the throw-down. It actually happens.

Thanks. We shall see when the fight happens. Think people are putting too much stock on Nakatani previous performance. Which I get, the fighter is as good as his last fight. But although Hernandez isn't as skilled and has room for improvement as he is quite younger, he deserves credit. He is a tough customer that never stops throwing in the inside. Even the Ohashi Boxing Gym, where the Yoshiki Takei, Naoya and Takuma Inoue brothers and Mikito Nakano train at, Shingo Inoue had stated that they knew he be a tough opponent for Nakatani. Because the fighters at the gym struggled with his volume pace and he is tough and throws hard punches without loading them up.

Inoue is a boxer puncher, who try to close in, but not that extent and stay there for long periods of times. And Nakatani can catch him flush if he isn't careful as he is sharp southpaw, who throw his lead hook, which isn't the same as a orthodox left hook or overhand like Cardenas and Nery, if it lands it be really difficult to recover from. He also has reach to get safely outside range and time Inoue. If he needs to recover, he do so much better than Picasso unless it's a one punch KO.

Just think Inoue's versatility and experience will compensate quite well. Nakatani might lose to opponents Inoue has beaten already, though that doesn't mean Junto is a bad fighter by any means, is just a style thing and he might fair the best, against Inoue. Perhaps pulling a win against him.

Please put the crack pipe down. No one at or below 122 is beating Inoue. It's not happening.
