Because he attempted to live like a billionaire. When he bought palatial homes and private jets he probably only thought about the capital cost rather than the running costs. Plus he likely got scammed a few times due to gullibility.

I got a feeling floyd will be ok. Rich people's broke isnt the same as regular people's broke. he was talented and futunate enough to be able to earn more than what most people could earn in 10 lifetimes.
