I think he craves constant attention and validation, so probably rented the apartment on a whim as a 'flex'. Multiply similarly impulsive actions over the years and he's ended up here. I haven't followed him at all since he retired, but reading that article you posted where he's quoted on social media talking about 'haters' whilst posing with money shows he hasn't developed as a person at all. He probably still doesn't see any need to.
The fact Floyd is having to come back because he’s broke is absolutely tragic.

Yeah I agree. He desperately craves the limelight. Despite being an excellent fighter/athlete he’s a massively flawed human being.

CoverdaleBecause he attempted to live like a billionaire. When he bought palatial homes and private jets he probably only thought about the capital cost rather than the running costs. Plus he likely got scammed a few times due to gullibility.
For a reasonable fee of $500 a session he could have hired me as his reading tutor and we would both be better off, that is the real tradgedy in all of this😀 1Comment

You're right. They tend to rack up obscene amounts of debt compared to regular people.
Pure ******ity on his part. The biggest "gone broke" story from any athlete ever. It's unfathomable to blow through that amount of money.
He should have been able to live beyond comfortably solely from his fights with Hoya and Hatton.Comment

Wasn't Floyd often posting million-dollar gambl!ng slips? That's an easy way to lose money.
Regardless, I doubt he's actually broke. He's probably down to his last hundred million and figures with how fast the rest went, he'd better make some more while he can.Comment
