The only thing that annoys me more than having to do a men?s top 10 pound-for-pound list on a semi-regular basis is having to then do a women?s top 10 pound-for-pound list on a semi-regular basis...

I agree with Salita on what he said. If you rack up all their competition, weight classes, how they perfomed, Sheilds edges it.

I'm only familiar with Taylor from her Serrano bouts and although that's on me, based on those fights, at least the first two where Serrano actually came to win and looked like she had, I was not impressed at all with Taylor and thought she was overrated. She nearly got KO'd in the 5th vs Serrano in the first and I thought, what's all the hype with Taylor? She was getting pummeled from pillar to post in that rd and looked to be on the verge of getting stopped.

Since I'm not familiar enough with her beyond these bouts, I would easily say Shields is the better of the two. I've seen Shields fight more and she was impressive in most of the fights I saw her in unlike Taylor.

I think Taylor has an A rsume whereas Shields is a C resume. Yes she has all those belts but if there's a belt somebody has to be the champion - doesn't mean they are any good. This is akin to saying the WW men's champion is normally close to being the P4P champ (not since Crawford vacated of course) - its just because more men fight at WW and more women fight under 140

Cut the ****. It tells you all you need to know about female boxing that two women who faced each other in their 'professional' debuts BOTH went on to become 'World' Champions with five or less fights on their records. Give fans a break.
