It's the home town edge American style. Road warriors need to put up with such distractions. He'll get the OK too late to aclimate.

I know when I went to Japan it took me 48 hours to readjust to the new time zone. This may actually work in his favor though, depending on what time at night the fight starts, it could be midday for Hiraoka.

Hiraoka should had been a camp in the USA earlier than a week before the fight. Hope it is resolved. Because it's a fight between two intriguing boxers.

One who has a high output punched who can box pressuring or in the backfoot in Russell. Gary who is vulnerable to getting caught with will timed punches like Puello and Valenzuela, Jose got utterly dominated but had his moments, Russell displaying better he can close in compared to the Pullo bout.

Andy is a highly accurate punch selection fighter with a long reach. Who makes up for his defensive lapses. By defensive lapses I mean he keeps his guard down most of the time and doesn't utilize head movement. His footwork making up for it, along with his reach. He could catch Gary clean if he over extends.

It be quite dissapointing that a single mistake take Andy's shot after having a stalled career after Sasaki and Barroso. In Japan apperantly they made a big press conference about it.

Russell up 3 points out the gate. 2 for hometown and 1 for VISA. I will admit, I never heard of Andy before this fight, but thats why I have this go to method. Most of the time, not all the time, most of the time the visitor will lose. When he wins it's a shocking upset.

Hi promoter Ohashi is a real POS, who brings a fighter in with no time to acclimate? He's also the promoter for Inoue, imagine what a hair cut he's giving him every fight.

"Hopefully, the minimal turnaround time in arriving to the U.S. and enduring a crash course to this weekend won't affect his performance on this stage."

Of course it will! - there's no way it couldn't. Prime example in recent time's Bakole's mad rush from Zaire to Riyadh, although admittedly Bakole wasn't in fight shape.

This is a disgrace since when do japanese fighters have visa issues? The Ohashis don't care about Andy at all he never received the dserved push they pushed Jin Bumsaki as hard as they could even though Andy schooled and destroyed him.
They bought Jin Bumsaki a title shot and made Norman come to Japan but Andy who is actually talented does not even get any fights. Why was Andy not fighting Russel on the all Japanese Card with Inue and Nakatani? They can't make a push and tell Turki to put him on there? They can't make sure Andy is in US 2-3 weeks before the fight to adjust to the time difference?
Ohashi and japanese boxing including top rank did Andy dirty i just wonder why what is so different about this "japanese" that they don't like him and dont treat him like one of their own.

All odds are against Hiraoka if he still wins this fight he deserves to call his shots and the Ohashis should kiss his feets.
