How about Bad Bunny is a hugely popular artist not just with Spanish speaking people. He didn't sell all of those millions of records to Spanish speakers and he didn't win a pile of Grammys in Spanish speaking countries , he's popular in America. This guy playing the Halftime show wasn't about politics or Trump , it was about his music being what people are listening to and what's on the radio. It wasn't about politics or Trump until a bunch of cry baby MAGATS couldn't stand that the NFL wasn't pandering to them and their likes. Like they say , when you have rigged everything for yourselves for so long equality feels unfair to you.

Imagine, a Canadian having an opinion on the AMERICAN superbowl halftime, will wonders never cease.

Players aren't the target audience for the halftime performance, their opinions don't matter. Just because one isn't familiar with an artist, doesn't mean others don't know the artist. And clearly others do.

Half of rock songs are unintelligible, so clearly understanding lyrics isn't the determining factor for enjoying music. And that's the beauty of music, it's universally understood.
