Brandon appears to be on the slide getting slow, less intensity regardless of whether he got the late stoppage. The good news is a vulnerable belt holder is a lucrative position to be in because everyone thinks they can beat you. Smart move if Inoue is going to 126 would be for him to go to Japan and take the big payday rather than the Gary Russell jr. route of fighting some unknown mando once every year or two holding your belt for dear life.

Figueroa is dangerous fight for anyone in that div.
But Ball being thr brawler he is, was a perfect opponent for him.

Espinoza and Leo are the best guys at 126.

Shu Shu need to stop calling out Inoue and focus on the guys in his own wgt class.
Calling out guys in lower wgt divisions is pathetic. Inoue doesn't even know who Shu Shu is.
Funny how he never mentions Espinoza, which is actually a realistic fight.

Think both guys are fairly diminished, Ball especially looked like he lost his hunger in that Goodman fight and now it looks completely gone. Espinoza and animal, one of the most exciting fighters going atm

The hitting on the breaks, elbow throwing and pushing didn't help him this time...

Good scrap. Loved the ending. Figueroa dropping Ball HARD in the first 10 seconds of the 12th round was unexpected. After falling face first into the mat, I'm surprised Ball got up. Showed toughness in doing that. I felt like Brandon hurt Nick a couple times in earlier rounds, but neither guy ever seemed in trouble before that shot. Nice finish, too. Glad to see the ref, Steve Gray, let Ball continue as he has a history of stopping fights too early. I suppose he knew he'd get KO'd by the fans had he not let it go on.

I thought it was a close fight with Figueroa edging it with his volume and body attack. Nick was scoring a lot of eye catching shots - snapping Brandon's head back, even with jabs - and doing nice counter punching. And Ball's speed was causing Figueroa some problems. But, this was the stereotypical Figueroa win. Cong**** to him.

Was a good competitive fight, Figueroa just fount the shot to end it and it was heavy finish and ball was clearly done. Ball is young enough to come again but that style tonight imo was always gonna be a hard one for him to conquer giving the height and the size of figueroa who boxed really well himself and I weren’t sure why ball was the clear favourite going in because I always fought figueroa might get him because of his attributes and the experience he has at championship level
