Comments Thread For: Josh Kelly not intimidated by ?scary-looking? Bakhram Murtazaliev
Josh Kelly has not been intimidated by the figure of Bakhram Murtazaliev during fight week. Nor will he be Saturday night when the battle commences.

Bakhram Murtazaliev seems super strong and durable, combined with very refined and solid boxing fundamentals 'Those are all in my opinion the worst attributes for Josh Kelly to compete against'.
I think stylistically Kelly has throughout his career, clearly been a gifted fighter in terms of skill for skill boxing 'but? when the going gets really tough, I still don't think he has proven that he is able to maintain his form and push through towards victory'.
The last time he was in that sort of situation at a solid level, was against David Avanesyan at 147 pounds 'Kelly regardless of what genuine legitimate excuses he had for his performance that night was smashed up'.
Note: Josh Kelly has done very well in his career, to gradually build back momentum 'and he has achieved some good domestic level wins vs. Troy Williamson, which is the best win and performance on his resume'.
But his fight against Bakhram Murtazaliev is a fight where he needs to show, all of his ability 'Adam Booth for many years, has stated that Kelly is one of the most gifted fighters he has coached. Now Kelly needs to back all of those statements up with actual World level wins and World titles'.
To conclude: I rate Josh Kelly has a massive underdog, and it is stylistically a extremely difficult fight for him 'In order to win, he will have to increase his game to levels that the boxing viewers have never seen from him before'.
If he is unable to do this? I can envision a similar fight to David Avanesyan.
But this fight is at 154 pounds, and the lack of durability Josh Kelly seemed to have at 147 pounds 'that area of his game now, may have improved enough for him to make this fight against Bakhram Murtazaliev competitive' etc.
