September 2017 - Davis arrested for assaulting a childhood friend
September 2018 - Davis arrested for getting into a street fight and then running from police
February 2020 - Davis arrested for simple battery and domestic violence after attacking his ex at a college basketball game
March 2021 - Davis arrested on 14 charges after running a red light on a suspended license, smashing into a car hospitalizing four people (one pregnant), then leaving the scene
December 2022 - Davis arrested battery domestic violence; she told the 911 operator she feared he would kill her
May 2023 - Davis arrested for violating the terms of his house arrest
July 2025 - Davis arrested for domestic violence after punching and striking the mother of his children
January 2026 - Davis arrested for battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping after showing up at his ex's workplace and attacking her

The sad thing is this man has three children. Hopefully he goes to jail for a long time and their mothers get them some therapy and a good education.

Tank is a former IBF, WBA 130 Champion and WBA Champion at 135. He was the regular WBA 140. So he's a champion in 2 divisions if I remember correctly not three. What am I missing?

No, you're correct in your account.

And actually it's worse if you dig into it.

He lost his IBF strap on the scales.

His first WBA 130 reign the WBA actually downgraded the reigning Super champion so Davis could fight for the vacant belt. Blatant corruption.

In his second WBA 130 reign they fed him Santa Cruz, who only had one fight at the weight against an unranked opponent. The WBA essentially let Santa Cruz sit on his 126 title indefinitely (he didn't defend it for like 3 years) if he agreed to be offered up to Tank to get that 130 belt back on him, and they also weirdly put the WBA Regular lightweight belt on the line in the fight.

And, of course, his lightweight title reign was a Regular belt that he held throughout the Super title reigns of Devin Haney, George Kambosos, Teofimo Lopez, and Vasiliy Lomachenko without ever challenging any of them. He just waited for Devin to move up to 140 and got emailed the full WBA title instead.

And yeah, his 140 reign was a Regular belt he won by slapping the thoroughly mediocre Barrios with a 10 pound rehydration clause.

The WBA has moved heaven and earth to manufacture most of his resume. The only guy more fraudulent in that area is Rolly Romero.

People are saying this is analogous to Mike Tyson, whose criminal record is almost entirely when he was a juvenile. He had that one **** case where there is plenty of speculation that he didn't do it. For the most part, Mike Tyson stayed out of trouble, and Tank has done the complete opposite. If you're in your 30s, and still assaulting people. then you really need to be in state prison.

It's so sad because he's obviously very talented and the boxing industry did everything they could to keep him out of trouble.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

1987 - Tyson arrested for kissing a female parking attendant against her will and then attacking the male parking attendant with a weapon for trying to stop him. Case was settled out of court for $105K.

1988 - Tyson assaults Mitch Green, eventually has to pay him $45K

1988 - Tyson freaks out and hurls furniture out his window during a fight with his then-wife, who is escorted off the property by police and files for divorce 5 days later

1988 - Tyson is convicted by a jury of groping a woman in a nightclub

1988 - Tyson is sued for groping another woman in the same nightclub on the same night (the two women didn't know each other)

1989 - Tyson punches a parking attendant three times, charges are dropped due to a settlement

1989 - Tyson is ticketed twice inside of a month for drag racing

1990 - Tyson is sued for sexual assault and harassment by Phyllis Polaner

1992 - Tyson is convicted for the Washington case

1992 - Tyson is found guilty of disorderly conduct and threatening a prison guard

1992 - Tyson is accused of a 1989 rape of Bill Cosby's daughter; Cosby convinced her to let Mike seek therapy instead

1993 - Tyson is sued for a 1991 battery case against a Miss Black America contestant

1996 - Tyson is accused of sexual battery in a nightclub but police decline to pursue charges

1998 - Tyson is sued for physically and verbally abusing two women at a bistro

1998 - Tyson pleads no-contest to assault after attacking a man after a car accident

1999 - Tyson is sentenced to 60 days in jail for probation violation

2001 - Tyson is accused of raping a 51 year old woman in California but police decline to charge him

2002 - Tyson is charged with a September 2001 rape in Las Vegas, accused of another rape in November 2001 but police decline to charge him

2004 - Tyson is sentenced to community service and counseling after beating up two autograph-seeking fans

2007 - Tyson is sentenced to 24 hours in jail and 3 years of probation after a DUI and drug case

2023 - Tyson is sued for a 1990 rape allegation but it is dismissed on procedural grounds (plaintiff filed paperwork with incorrect dates)

He has also admitted to beating the hell out of multiple women on multiple occasions in his autobiography and on his podcast. He once said the best punch he ever delivered was to his wife, and he also said he once climbed up onto his roof and began throwing cinder blocks down at his wife because she didn't like the cookies he had baked. He said the police had to come get him down with a net.

This list isn't exhaustive, by the way. I believe he had another rape accusation sometime in the 2010s.

You didn't mention the time he punched a passenger on the plane he was on (although it does sound like the passenger kind of deserved it - but Tyson just can't control his anger). That happened pretty recently too.

There were also other times where Tyson got extremely aggressive, wanting to bash reporter's faces in just because Mike was having a bad day.

Okay, maybe I'm wrong. I haven't read his autobiography.
