Inoue did this and he said he felt pretty burn out. We would solve a lot of these problems if the WBC and other sanctioning bodies enforced their mandatories. I know back in the day those Champs fought in about 100 fights and everything. I'm sure that some of those guys they shared the ring with were fighters and I also know for a fact some of them were just "fighters". 4 times seems unrealistic to me because you do have a family, friends, injuries, boxing politics, and other issues. Ideally, 3 would be great but twice a year is good too.

Incorrect. What's required is a culture shift back to the pre-alphabet era which accepted not everyone can be a 'world' champion. 2 or 3 defences a year is acceptable and if the champ is injured you wait your turn rather than fight for some fake belt.

Contenders will fight actual top ten guys rather than bogus eliminators and weak opponents whilst sitting on 'mandatory' positions.
