Comments Thread For: The Beltline: Deontay Wilder-Derek Chisora feels like a fight that has already happened

Despite them having never shared a ring before, there is something strangely familiar about the Deontay Wilder vs. Derek Chisora fight mooted for April.

This fight is Redneck Brawl level. But the FBBBBF (fat beer belly british boxing fans) will eat it up like it's Tyson vs Lewis.

Do you comment on all Redneck Brawls then? Or just the ones that provide you with the opportunity to trumpet your negative opinion of British boxing fans?

I'm looking forward to this fight. Obviously it bears no relevance to the overall standings of the heavyweight division, but it will be the last time we see Delboy in action and if Del manages to go out with a W, it really should be the last time we see Deontay in the ring too. Has the potential to be an entertaining fight, even though it won't be high level boxing.

As meaningless as the fight is it might turn out to be a decent scrap. Sometimes a couple of washed up fighters can put on a good show. For example the Michael Grant vs Francois Botha fight. A solid slugfest between evenly matched veterans well past their primes.

I like this match more than Wilder-Usyk because neither W or Del boy deserve even a fractional shot at winning a title.

Actually a decent match. Should be fun.

Red rolls, white ceiling, the Heavyweight Goliaths are finally meeting, a fight for all the marbles, but no belts, just leather, so old school the result is written with a feather. Wilder is set to fly business class to London, not Saudi, it's done, man. And this fight could never land in Neverland, like Peter Pan, soon as Eddie Hearn got in touch and spread Tinker Bell's Pixie Dust it was on, for his former Captain of Matchroom Wilder and War, and that's were we are heading, so tip your hat, sip your pineapple and get ready, this is a battle for the ages with confetti.
