Let this one marinate in the basement. This whine needs time to become vinegar. Maybe focus on upcoming fights to generate interest etc. Also there are fights occuring globally, why no cover those, we may see the next Manny or Usyk.

Both fighters want the fight, it is a 50/50 fight and is really winnable for either guy, maybe a dominant winner or a close fight or maybe even a draw. Glad that Ortiz' management can legally negotiate the fight. I hope he will work with Hearn and bring Oscar in only when needed. But one thing is certain, this will be pure excitement when it happens. So many superfights have been less exciting, some even boring but not this one. Boxing needs this fight signed. Just no clash of heads and a cut that stops it!

Something tells me Ennis camp would be more afraid to make this happen than the other way around. Not saying Boots is scared of Ortiz, more so his promoter and in trying to guide him towards a path where he can make really good money for awhile. If Ennis faces Ortiz and loses or worse, gets KO'd, his stock and all the build up of him drops tremendously. It seems like a very risky fight more so for Ennis.

This is already becoming tedious and yet another example of boxing getting in its own way.

Become a lame soap opera. Hearn and Oscar on short list of least likable people in boxing.

Boots would make Ortiz look simple. They know that. It won't happen. Zayas and Fundora might have a chance for different reasons, but In fact the only one in this division I can see defeating Boots (on points) is Rashidi Ellis, due to speed and styles. But damnit, Rashidi just plain doesnt do anything to put himself in the mix. He might even be too old now.

If it was that "simple", whyd he turned down Turki's offer to do a re-run with the almighty Karen?

I think Oscar knows that Vergil probably wouldn't beat Ennis.

'Boots' has more tools in the box. There are titles at middleweight for him. It's not an appealing division at the moment though. Perhaps he can fight Canelo, even though they sparred before.

It wouldn't be wise to put the cart before the horse, but you imagine he could fight at light heavyweight. Perhaps Ennis is great, not sure. Could he beat Bivol or Beterbiev, or is that too wild.

I don't mention Benavidez because it looks like he's moving to cruiserweight, at least for one fight.
