Devin was the better fighter that night, simple and plain. You was in the media talking smack, doing too many interviews, flexing your muscles for the cameras. You was too arrogant for your own good. Now you know you're human and can get beat up like anybody else. Let the loss humble you, and go improve all the areas where you fell short. Stop being in love with your power. Study how you got neutralized, and why. It's possible that Devin might still beat you again next time, but you can make a better account of yourself. Devin showed you something different. He surprised you with the level he has reached. You realize now how hard he's been quietly training and improving Take a page from that book. Talk less and focus more on the craft. it was for the best that you didn't fight Boots. He's even sharper, stronger and more versatile than Devin. You're still young, and you can come back, but if you think knocking one head off puts you back on top, maybe you still have the wrong mindset. You need overall improvement, not just a quick win. A quick may get you a big fight, but it won't make you a better fighter

Sounds like a good choice, and if it don't work out he can always shift gears again....................

Yeah this is pretty accurate and what pisses me off. BNormJr. fell too much in love with his power and all the people talking to him in the fight lead up had him believing that he was going to be the boss in there with all the power and that Devin would be running. He got shell shocked when he went down early when it was supposed to be the opposite. This basically setup the stage for the rest of the fight.

I'd like to see him come back better, but it looks like he has a lot to work on considering he didn't offer much to Devin. I'll still support watching him and hope he can go on to some other exciting matchups because I always thought he would make for more fun matchups overall vs Devin matchups considering he likes to ****. That really doesn't change. Even if he drops down to gatekeeper status, he'll make for some fun fights with other guys that like to get hit.

Brian needs to get back to fundamentals and then add wrinkles to his game. Brian is young, athletic and physically and mentally strong. Brian doesn't need to be Shakur, he just needs enough depth to keep his opponent thinking. IMO, Freddy Roach, Bomac and especially Steven Edwards come to mind.

At this point Brain's father can either sacrifice for his son or take the egotistic route of " I told you so" and ruin his kid to prove a point.

Don't get me wrong, Brian's Dad is a great coach and a huge influence but Brian Jr needs the right kind of coach and if Brian senior can get behind his son's decision and help Brian Jr transition, I believe it will make a world of difference.

There, I said it, because it needs to be said.

You sound foolish. What can Bread Man teach him when he couldn't even teach Caleb anything?

I'm sorry you didn't like what I said but it's the truth. As for Caleb Plant, a coach can teach all the tricks but it's not magic. Edwards had Calib fighting above his ceiling, but he was never going to make Caleb Plant into something he never was.

Prior to Edwards everyone, and I mean everyone, considered Caleb just a pillow fist runner waiting to be knocked out. After getting together with Steven Edwards, Caleb had a competitive run, some great fights, made a ton money and performed beyond what was expected. Hell, Caleb wasn't even supposed to beat Anthony Dirrell.

I'm sorry but Caleb Plant was never going to beat Canelo or Benavidez and Spence was never going to beat Terrance Crawford.

              Let it go, move on.

Caleb was never as good as he pretended to before Bread Man or with him. Resendez's beating of Plant exposed fighter and trainer for all to see. Bread Man is a delusional blowhard who has a clan of brainless loyal followers who wet their pants because he responds to them on his BS mailbag. I knew he was a clown the moment he called Crawford-Spence a "50/50 fight". Please stop acting like he's someone credible. He's not. And you were probably one of the fans who believed Errol had a chance against Bud, but are too embarrassed to admit it now.

The kid’s not ready! There are levels to this game. He is a novice opponent. Brian Norman is still young and needs more time to develop fundamentally into the sport
