As soon as Hagler Minter started I knew Minter had no chance - and Minter was a good fighter - but one, if not 2 levels below Hagler.
I watched it with my dad & remember it well. Minter was a good boxer and longer than Marvin, but instead of using his advantages he allowed himself to be drawn into a brawl which was always going to end badly for him given his propensity for cuts. He was egged on by the drunken idiots in the crowd & was a bloody mess by the 3rd. The ensuing riot was an absolute embarrassment for British boxing.
