Can someone explain how British boxing is at such a low ebb? From what I see, we're no real worse off than any other nation?

I thought this. The game has changed a bit too. With the impact of influencer boxing there is pressure to have good fights that people are interested in and not necessarily positioning fighters to pick up portions of the world title against ok fighters - which was a Frank Warren special. A world title used to create the interest and the biggest prize. Not convinced that is the case now.

This is a good fight though. 50/50.

But we live in an era were Barrios has a legitimate world title seemingly without being able to beat anybody.

I dont even know how many world champs UK have. Is it just Nick Ball? But even for him the point of it all has to be Inoue which he'll lose but that's THE prize.

It would be a good win for Dalton but for him his pot of cash rests in a ring with Adam Azim.

British boxing has been a bit leaner recently compared to recent years but it's still healthier than it was for most of the 2000s

We were spoiled for a few years in the late 2010s, however that was not a normal time period for British boxing
