My fav is when Tony says drug cheats should be banned for life, no excuses (except for when it’s my pals).

Make no mistake, Tony went to some very dark places after his fighting career ended, places he'd never been to before. But, without a shadow of a doubt, he came through it all and went home safe to his wife and kids. Of that there is no doubt. Not a shadow if a doubt.😂 1Comment

The first fight between Toney Bellew and David Haye, was a great fight. Haye was not at his peak, and it was a minor miracle that he was able to stage his last comeback in the game. But Bellew vs Haye I, was an action packed fight which involved heroics on the side of David Haye fighting on while severely injured'.
I have always maintained that after that fight? This would have been a great time for David Haye to retired 'he may have lost the boxing match, but he won the fight. Along with the admiration and credit from the boxing community for his acts of courage. Ultimately that was the only feat Haye needed to achieve at that stage of his career, as he had already been a Lineal and Unified Cruiserweight Champion, and World Heavyweight Champion'.
Note: But since he lost to Wladimir Kiltschko, certain folk in the boxing community began to question his gladiatorial attributes as a fighter 'In the aftermath of Haye vs Bellew I, there was no questions left to ask. David Haye fought like gladiator, and even at the time of the stoppage was still wanting to continue on in the fight'.
David Haye even during a lost, left the fight with big credit 'It was in my opinion a great time to retire. Not perfect or absolutely ideal, but nevertheless still better than how it eventually concluded in his career'.
To conclude: Eddie Hearn and match room, tactically pressured David Haye II into the rematch 'even though he was injured. If Haye was miles outside of his peak during the first fight, then he was light years outside of his peak during the rematch. Tony Bellew most likely knows this also to be true'.
But to Tony Bellew's credit, he was brilliant during his career at 'analysing fights, and devising tactics. Not many people during the build up to Tony Bellew vs David Haye I, backed him to win. But Bellew knew that the timing of the fight, was more optimal for him than David Haye. So he at least deserves credit, for having the awareness to seize that opportunity' etc.👍 1Comment
