Comments Thread For: Daily Bread Mailbag: Ranking the best boxers from the 90s; reflections on Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul

It's the last mailbag from Stephen 'Breadman' Edwards of 2025 and to close out the year he ranks his top 10 fighters from the 90s, gives both Joshua and Paul their props, discusses the career of Terence Crawford and highlights the importance of universal rules

3 questiona about Jake Paul and not one question about Inoue's and Nakatani's fights today - or at least if there were then Edwards chose not to publish them.
    What to take away ?
1/ Boxing isn't in a great place late 2025 if that's where fan's heads are.
2/ Edwards and his readership are very USA-centric.
It used to be said that more than half of United-States-of-Americans don't have a passport, I wonder if that is still true now?

This is a continuing issue with the mailbag, one would expect the big fights of the week to be discussed, but often that's not the case. And some of the questions have nothing to do with boxing! But perhaps that means people like you and me should send letters.

Anyone here send letters on fights and boxers related to the important bouts of the week?

what is this poster on drugs or something?

At the end of 2022 when tyson fury was at his peak, he had yet to fight ngannou or usyk shakur stevensons top p4p list was

"Bud Crawford, Jaron Ennis, Canelo Alvarez, Tank or Errol Spence for the last spot."

but tyson fury somehow the GOAT, yeah ok whatever u say

Maybe he meant who would win in a fight.

There is a cutoff of something like the letters need to be in by Wednesday, because there needs to be time to write up the Q&A. This week's fights will be discussed in next week's mailbag.

could be right, when fury was at his peak there were lots of people saying things like that, it happens to pretty much all fighters going great with their 0, for example bud and usyk are getting that treatment at the moment by some

lots of top guys also had very very close shaves & gift decisions as well & also most thought fury way too big for usyk and also AJ too big for him so u never know in this sport

He answers questions that people send in. I’m sure there was little interest from his readership in fights where Japanese fighters were big favorites going in.

Anthony Joshua was involved in that Jake Paul fight and beat him so I wouldn’t say that is USA-centric. It was an event on Netflix with international interest.

It turns out Terrace Crawford best move was leaving Top Rank
