People will say Canelo earned the right to fight who he wants. fine he can fight who he wants but he also claimed 1. he was the best fighter p4p in the world and 2. the best fighter at 168. Well stop claiming that if you wont fight the number 1 challenger that the people want. You had no problem clearing out the division and unifying when it was weaker champions and i still give him credit for doing it in 12 months but to back up your claim you are p4p 1 and the best at 168 you have to still fight the best. If he said "Im getting older now and Im probably the 4-5th best fighter and Benavidez is too strong for me so Im going to sit that one out" then ok i can respect that but he demands the fans give him the credit of being number 1 without having to defend that title.

And canelo was still under 35 at the time

Usyk i will give a pass to fight who he wants and retire. He unified heavy and the belts are already getting split with all the ABC rankings drama. There are a few up and coming young guys but if he wants to skip them I can see it. If he beats them people will just say they were green and it will be like floyd beating canelo, he wont get full credit. If they beat him then what does that even mean hes almost 40 it doesnt prove they could beat him in his prime. if he wants to sail off in the sunset undefeated that is fine for me he took risks fighting bigger guys already.
well they kept him high on the p4p list and #1 despite the fact that he hasnt fought any top guys at 168 for over 4 years now. that proves that you really dont have to fight the best if youve already been crowned the best. milk it baby milk it. benavidez would have knocked him off and he knew it so he avoided the fight like a coward, and he robbed benavidez of the spotlight he deserved. he artificially extended his career with cherry picked fights. guys like canelo need to be removed from rankings and shunned at the very least. they shouldnt be praised or given accolades when its crystal clear they are ducking. 4 years of being #1 and he never fought him...come on. strip the bum of any and everything he has. now that he lost to one of his cherries i bet he cherry picks even more carefully!

Sorry, but we don't all know that.

I also don't get my dopamine hits from the internet and am pretty much successful in my chosen field and life...

Speak for yourself champ and best wishes for the new year!

This is again perfectly reasonable, you are giving constructive criticism. I wanted to see the Benavidez fight too, but the fact it didn't happen doesn't negate Canelo's entire resume. We may never see someone fight as long and frequently at that level again.

I am disappointed Usyk is not fighting Wardley and I probably won't even bother watching him fight Wilder if it happens. I will forgive him if he gives Wardley his shot after he's grabbed the Wilder money.
