Well, he's kind of stuck because he now has to fight someone with a name and notoriety to sell a lot of tickets. But if he's willing to make a big fight card, and having himself on there alongside a big main event, he could fight someone like Billy Deniz. Doesn't have a lot of KO power so Jake could come on strong against him.
A prospect at 175 like who? You mean a real Prospect or someone like Tommy Fury who has the talent of a journeyman.
Every Prospect i can think about at 175 would embarras Jake but i will say if he trains for the next 4-6 years really hard who knows maybe he could end up beating a 30-50 ranked fighter at 175 or Cruiser.
Good fights for him would be Tank or Shields.
I'm not sure how his matchmaking would work but I'd definitely be interested. He'll really have to train hard. When he fought a stoned Chavez Jr., he looked bad at the end, so he really needs to train better and work on his cardio. I could see it, however. He got my respect for this fight tonight.Last edited by Cypocryphy; Yesterday, 12:27 AM.👍 2Comment

yes he said he jaw was broken (spitting blood to prove it) and that he'd continue fighting but at CW.
He had a good plan.....stay away from the bigger guy and counterpunch.....and AJ has no clue how to cut off the ring. Paul actually landed some decent right hands.👍 3Comment

Jake took a lot of punishment. He’s an amateur and doesn’t know how to roll with punches. He got tuned up and probably has some internal problems worth going to the hospital for. Took a liver shot that would have folded a lot of pro fighters. Took shots to the shoulders and arms that are going to hurt for days or weeks.
He got knocked down 3 times and beat the count when he could have just saved himself the KO and stayed down. He got up knowing he was 100% getting up to get KOed. Earned my respect. And he got up after the KO even, just was a second late to beat the count. He was 100% determined to go out on his shield.👍 6👎 1Comment

Lots of people saying Paul should go to Cruiser... But rumour has it he couldn't get himself under 200lbs, that's why he took this fight.
He knows he can't beat a heavyweight, so just take the biggest paycheck there is.
He's done, won't be back now.Comment

I'm assuming he had a legit training camp that included serious sparring.

Judging from those results, he should have known if he could sustain a "make him tired then pounce" game plan.
Simply running won't do it.
From what I've read, AJ was playing with him from the jump.
Again
Props for JP for going through with this on the up & up
Let's see if his next opponents are legit boxers.Comment

He was preparing to fight Tank at a catch weight of 190 lbs, so it's obvious he could make that weight. When the Tank fight was canceled and they switched to A.J. , Paul said he had to start eating a lot more to get his size and strength up so that he could be a heavyweight.Comment
