That's a pretty good matchup. Oscar fought everyone and took on all challenges. He had Olympic pedigree and a wicked left hook. I'm not sure if Crawford would just be too versatile or would Oscar's toughness speed and power get him through it. Good matchup but I don't think I could pick a definitive winner.
Terence Crawford vs Oscar De La Hoya.

Oscar De La Hoya on a fight by fight basis, individual fights and wins 'has a better resume than Terrence Crawford'.
I have mentioned this before? Terrence Crawford has had a great career in terms of gaining titles 'but on a fight by fight basis, he really only has one to two great wins. And those wins were against completely dead at the weight fighters in Errol Spence Junior and Canelo Alvarez'.
Which is not Terrence Crawford's fault, but those are still the facts. A part from those wins, Crawford really in my opinion does not have a impressive resume that can go head to head with past great fighters resumes such as Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao'.
Note: People need to acknowledge that Oscar De La Hoya fought during the second greatest welter weight era potentially of all-times 'definitively top 3 welterweight eras of all-times. And he was one of the premier champions and during this boxing era a fighter who defined it'.
Terrence Crawford's boxing era, was not really super talented 'when his career progressed, he was only really competing against miles outside of their peak fighters. Such as Kell Brook, Amir Khan and a semi-retire Shawn Porter'.
From a pure skill for skill perspective, you would have to rate Shawn Porter as Terrence Crawford's best win 'out of all the big fights Crawford has had, Shawn Porter was the most in form fighter'.
But Shawn Porter although he was a solid fighter 'I have always regarded him as the American version of Derek Chisora, but marginally more sophisticated and talented. Shawn Porter would be the level of fighter Floyd Mayweather Junior fought in the latter part of his career'.
It is a close fight to call as Terrence Crawford is a great fighter, but I think hypothetically at their peak, Oscar De La Hoya would be the favourite to win etc.
Summed it up perfectly. In reality Crawfords career never really took off since the opponents weren't there the rematch against Canelo would have been a good statement because Canelo performed a bit lax and a lot of rounds where just fencing rounds that Crawford was able to chip away marginally. So there was definitely perspective from Canelo's side to approach a rematch. However Crawford career would have been much much better had he been able to clear out 154 and maybe 160 since all those fighters are at their peak early mid 20s/ early 30s.Comment

a good right that boxes is a handful for TBud
Here's Old Pernell troubling Young Welter Oscar
manny faced Drained Oscar
TBud faced hydrated Saul who had enough in the tank to take 3 to 4 rounds
TBud's Hydrated Saul > manny's Drained Oscar
your judgement clouded after whining over TBud being mean to manny

TBud 8-4 Oscar
I see Oscar doing good in the first 3 rounds but TBud takes over in the second half
Oscar was a fader and would get confused in bouts
Due to his incredible boxing genius TBud gets stronger as the fight goes on like FloydComment

Bud just passes the eye test for me. He' too balanced, coordinated, fast and his punches flow through him. I think Oscar would break through his defenses and rough him up against the ropes. It's 12 rounds and Bud would eventually find his footing then win a close SD.Comment

TBud face washed Saul. Manny fought Oscar at 147, the weight Oscar challenge Manny at. It's not Manny's fault Oscar was washed up, same with Saul. TBud beat a non motivated damaged good Canelo. And this supposed to be TBud's best win buahahah!! Weak resume to say the least.Oscar's great shot was not his right hand
