I'm responding to whether or not he can punch. Big KO puncher? No - but it looks to me that he gets the respect of his opponents. Even early on, one of the first things his first trainer BJ Flores would say is that he can punch; enough so that he thought he could turn pro. Subsequent trainers and opponents have said similar. He's put down half the guys who were trying to put him down.
He has never knocked out a good fighter.
He has failed to knock out multiple smaller, older guys that have already been knocked out multiple times.

That's really all there is to it.

It's not free, you need a Netflix Membership. And no, i will watch it, not even for free on illegal streaming. I 'll just read the headline on Boxingscene.

You could be talking about a lot of fighters.

All you need is enough to get the opponent's respect.

Joshua didn't even respect Ngannou. No chance he respects Jake Paul and his pretend boxing safari.

This shouldn't even be sanctioned. This is a bigger mismatch than Seniesa Estrada vs Marie Adkins was (look it up if you don't remember).

JP has more pro boxing experience than Ngannou, no reason this wouldn't be sanctioned while the fights with AJ and Fury were.

And LOL - what an example to use - a lot of people would be happy if the fight ended like the Seniesa one.

I don't think AJ is just walking across the ring in the 1st round and KOing him like Siensa did if I remember correctly. Maybe it ends just the same, but I thiink more will happen in between, that's the question really.

If he does "better" than Ngannou, I'd like to see that fight next. I think that fight is a more fun debate than the one next week (if it even happens).

Jake Paul has had a guided tour of professional boxing. It's the difference between walking out into the wild alone versus having a tour guide in a jeep. Hand picking tiny old men and celebrities is just pretend time.

Ngannou at least had experience as a professional fighter against guys his size, age, and skill level.

What Jake Paul has gone through in his career amounts to absolutely zero legitimate experience when it comes to fighting a legitimate, active heavyweight like Anthony Joshua.

And, for the record, Ngannou in boxing was a silly sideshow as well. But at least he'd taken punches from real, active heavyweight fighters before.

Jake Paul could literally die in this fight. People die in boxing every year in fights that aren't nearly as mismatched as this one.
He would have been ran out long ago if he couldn't fight.

He lost to Tommy Fury and has no quality wins.

Can he fight? Compared to your average human being, sure. He'd destroy 99% of the people walking the planet right now.

Compared to credible, ranked contenders at cruiserweight and heavyweight? He hasn't proven a single thing.

If he could really fight he'd be trying to climb the ladder at cruiserweight rather than scheduling a fight with a lightweight and then replacing him with a heavyweight who is 100% going to knock him out. It's all sideshow nonsense.

This is perfect for both fighters. AJ gets an easy payday paving his way to a mega fight with Fury. Paul gets to say he went 5 rounds with AJ which was more than Ngannou went. Nobody is gonna question how long it takes AJ to KO him because he is 36 and everyone knows he is on the downside. Win/Win.

Why did he say Joshua is one of the best heavyweights ever? Nobody thinks Joshua is one of the best.
