Comments Thread For: Isaac Cruz open to Lamont Roach sequel: ?I?m not Gervonta, I want the rematch?

It was fitting that there was little separation between the only two fighters to push Gervonta Davis to the brink.? Isaac Cruz and Lamont Roach Jnr separately called for rematches with the unbeaten WBA 135lbs titlist ? Cruz after his narrow December 2021 defeat; and Roach following his disputed majority draw with ?Tank? this past March 1 in Brooklyn, New York.?

I would be happy to see a rematch. I didn't see a problem with the referee, but there's loads of others available.

Cruz wasn't penalized for multiple low blows during the fight. I thought it was close but I also thought Roach won. I'll say this - - the Pit Bull's style is mucho entertaining. Non-stop action. You'll never hear booing at a Cruz fight for lack of action.

The referee was too involved in the fight. He was constantly talking to the fighters ( mostly Cruz) and throwing his hands up in the air like a lunatic the whole fight.

It was a close fight and a good fight but I thought that Roach had done enough to win. It seemed after the knockdown “The Pitbull” was gassed.

He was doing a lot of holding and fighting off the back foot. I thought Lamont fought a good fight. He frustrated Cruz to the point of him mentally checking out.

However, I could live with a Draw though.

The referee was too involved because Cruz was frustrated. which caused him to resort to illegal and dirty tactics.

I thought he mentally checked out of the fight once he realized how physically strong Lamont Roach was.

Moreover, he mentally checked out the moment that Roach withstood his early onslaught which included a knockdown.
