But what makes the winner deserve another a title shot?

They both already lost to the champs

This is just more behavior from the ABCs wanting to make sure the title bouts get a "name" because they get a percentage of the purse and someone like a smith probably has some British fans that are good for tickets which means higher purse and bigger payday for WBO.

I don't feel the champ.should be mandated to fight either of these guys they just very recently had a shot and haven't done anything since
have you seen the rankings? there's bivol, beterbiev, benavidez and callum is next. then we have albert ramirez, malik zinad and ali izmailov. do you honestly think they deserve it more than callum - morrell winner? look at their records. there are no all time greats waiting for their shot.

callum and morrell defeated 2 tbrb top 10 ranked contenders after their losses. that is not "and haven't done anything since".

          I don't know. But, you're right that it would be a great co-main to Bivol-Beterbiev 3.
