When I went to the Czech Republic, I noticed a lot of churches in Prague, all beautifully maintained, looked fantastic. I asked a couple of local people if they were very religious and they answered "no, but the Russians banned us from going to church, so when they ran off, it was the first thing we did - enjoy our freedom". Enough said, Russia are not lovely neighbours.

I'm sure you believe the US is an ally of countries in the Mid East.

I have. Nothing but corruption, rule of brute force rather than law, total lack of accountability for any official on any level and elevation of ignorance comes from them. We've had 2 popular revolutions (2004 and 2014) rejecting their "way" in favour of rule of law, accountability and transparency (benefits we see in EU and the collective West"). Each time they tried to put a wedge between our people exploiting the ruz language and shared (i.e. colonial) past. Failed in 2004 but learnt from experience and brought in the military in 2014. Ukraine has been at war since.

A quick internet search says, "Experts say the cause of the military conflict can be tied to a complicated history, Russia’s tensions with NATO and the ambitions of *****. Ukraine’s ambitions to align itself more with Western countries – including its publicly stated interest in joining NATO, which itself was founded at least in part to deter Soviet expansion – has been met with aggression from Russia, the council notes."

Here's a source for you, in case you are about to shift goal posts or make some perverted twist on that in your usual ways.

As for Crimea, it used to be part of Russia. Was Iraq or Yemen or Somalia or Libya or Iran or Sudan ever been part of the US. How many military bases does the US have in over a hundred countries? TRY AGAIN!
Since we're going back in time - how far do you want to go? The objective to join NATO was a RESULT if ruz first trying to take Crimea in mid-90s, then Tuzla crisis in early 2000s, then their attempt to put in a puppet president in 2004 - when outgoing president Kuchma refused to call in the military to crush protesters despite ruz pressure. So be clear what came first - threat from ruz to Ukraine's territorial integrity, not other way round. And after 2014 - no choice but look for allies elsewhere as they militarised Crimea and parts of occupied Donbass.

As for "Crimea was ruz" - it was Tatar/Ottoman from 1400s to end of 1700s. Majority of population was not ruz but Kirimci, Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Greeks, ***s etc until 20th century. Mass displacement of non ruz and replacement with ruzians began in early 20th century and in earnest in 1930s and 40s. Similar story in Donbass - ruz or ruz speaking only became a plurality in 20th century. So Crimea it was ruzian very briefly....Majority of Crimean residents, along with rest of Ukraine voted to leave the Soviet Union in 1991 in a free internationally recognised referendum, which the 2014 referendum was neither.

As for Usyk - Wilder is a disappointing fight. I hope the one after will be Itauma or Kabayel to make up for the money grab and ego stroking fight. Also - Wilder is a chance to fight in US with an American of some repute.

…back to boxing. Read on another site that the highly ethical WBC approved an optional defense vs Wilder. If I am Andy Ruiz, I’m downing pitchers of Ozempic now. Ruiz the last real name of that same era

Hopefully someday, much of the Middle East will unify in the effort to keep the US from invading them, because they know that it has happened many times AND it will not stop. Like that?

Paranoia is when people keep believing other countries are a threat to us. Look at who we are allies with and you should realize what’s up.
How many countries have we invaded in the last 40 years?

No one is denying corruption and the lack of rule of law in Russia. Context here is NATO parking right across Russia’s border. That was the gist of this debate.
