What the hell is going on there? Smith really seemed to have dropped the ball. He outpriced himself for the Benavidez fight just to get another dangerous opponent who will leave him with way way lesser money compared to the Benavidez fight.
I don`t know what is going on behind the scenes but i cant believe that Eddie promised him to make a Bivol fight happen. Bivol has a punch of obligations he owes Beterbiev and Benavidez a fight and also the IBF is pressing that D level fighter on him.
Sooner or later Smith needs to fight someone and i think he made a big mistake not fighting Benavidez for good money. I pick Morrell to beat Smith and that should be it for Smith. He might go up to Cruiserweight since he is the biggest 175 pounder in the division. But then again he can only play his ducking games since Jai owns that division and he would make easy work out of Smith.
