Because he's a fraud and an embarrassment
I think Jake gets a bad wrap. I really do.
He chose to fight Tank. Before the fight even took place, the whispers were, “Too small.” and people were thinking that Paul was being the bully here as if the size was too much and that Tank wouldn’t be able to deal with that. A lot of people saw that Roach fight and put Tank in the “not that good” category, when in reality it was a close fight. Tank was young, undefeated, a big puncher, speedy, highly underrated counter puncher and body puncher, he would’ve beaten Paul, size be damned. But whatever, we’re two weeks away now from Paul-AJ or AJ-Paul so nobody gets butthurt.
If he weren't a Goddamned well known youtuber, we would not be having this discussion.
What exactly is JP's claim to BOXING fame ?!?!?!
TBF, seeing how his fight with AJ is not an exhibition, I must say I'm very surprised.
From an exhibition with Tank (
!!!!!!!!) to a legit fight with AJ......
I anticipate AJ carrying him
Every move JP makes is calculated so there has to be some kind of an agreement
"Bro, you can't be trying to kill me in there."
JP couldn't budge a 39 y/o shot bum who never took his "career" seriously like JCCjr, WTF is he going to do to AJ

This is the only fight from either of those douche brothers that I’ve ever wanted to see. I will gladly watch Paul get knocked out lol.Comment

Jake Paul moves the needle because he had a massive profile before he even stepped into boxing. THAT…coupled with his string of high profile KO’s was able to parlay it into huge high profile match-ups and continue winning. The fact that he has massive disposable income means that he has access to good sparring partners, top notch training facilities/coaches, plus he knows how to sell himself. Those last three things alone have given him a massive head-start in getting money matches typically WAAAAAAAAAAAY before a normal fighter would be reaching.

I’m not saying it’s right. But Paul is just okay enough to warrant him being able to get in there and beat the fighters he’s beaten considering he started fighting six(?) years ago. And having access to all the training and whatnot by itself isn’t the end all/be-all…a celebrity of any kind could have access to all that, but would they be willing to put themselves through that physical training, and more than that, would they have a massive chip on their shoulder big enough to propel them into proving critics wrong and being willing to want it badly enough? I think Paul does.
I think personally he bit off more than he can chew, but he’s going for it. Jake Paul beating Joshua would result in absolute anarchy among the boxing community. The one thing that I find completely perplexing is that the Paul-Tank fight was an exhibition……….but THIS is a sanctioned fight. It says a lot. AJ should be fine…he sometimes pulls these “off” behaviors (being like, “okay, guess Ruiz is beating me tonight, ah well”….or the weird post fight Usyk monologue when he grabbed the mic), but he should be able to end this easily, though. If AJ loses, I’m legit blaming Dubois for scrambling his circuits.

I don't see any way he upsets AJ in a legitimate fight, it's borderline impossible.

No Jake Paul isn't as bad as everyone says he is, but he's still nowhere near world level.
I would pick Dave Allen to beat him, hell I'd pick Johnny Fisher over him.
Jake Paul is like MAYBE English title level at 175lbs. But even that is questionable as the current English 175lb champion would probably beat Paul.
Jake has improved slightly since he lost to Tommy Fury but not by that much.
In terms of upsets it would be the biggest upset in boxing History, it would eclipse Douglas vs Tyson by a significant margin.
I can't see it happening, AJ is a diligent trainer he wouldn't go in there half baked and clown around like Fury vs Ngannou.
The only way I could see him win is by some freak accident.

Exactly. It would be a freak accident if it DID happen. And yes, a colossal upset.
AJ as chiseled, gold medal-placing, and highly championed as he has been (ESPECIALLY after that climb up off the canvas and thrashing of Klitschko) would mean him absolutely lambasted by the Brits if he got beat by Paul. It shouldn’t happen…but jeez Louise, if it did.
He would never hear the end of it.Comment

What are the rules for this fight? Is it 2 or 3 minute rounds? How many rounds? Does it have any contracted weight and any hydration clauses?Comment

listen AJ needs to make contact with tommy the fury fury and find out how he bamboozled paul in the ring, thats vital if he wants to win
if floyd mayweather can take on and beat the big show then anything is possible in the world of combat sportsComment
-
Yes, anything is possible.
AJ himself won Olympic Gold with less experience than JP has right now.
