Comments Thread For: Who Made the Bigger Statement This Weekend? Benavidez or Haney?

David Benavidez took over his fight in the middle rounds, but how did he do it, and what does it mean for his next move? Should fans want Benavidez against Zurdo Ramirez or a massive showdown with Canelo Alvarez?

    Fat Dave easily

He performed better against Buff Guy Yarde than All Time Great Artur did

Devin laxed out in the 2nd half. Brian HOOOOOOOOOK was able to get back into the fight

haney defeated #1 and became a champion. benavidez was already a champion and defeated a nobody in his 3rd undeserved title shot.
who performed better in the ring? benavidez.

I'd say haney, I don't think anyone expected him to floor Noram. My opion was that the Benavidez fight was a forgone conclusion.

Hankey did. I dont like the guy or his father but he came back from a brutal beating and actually beat a decent fighter his size for once.

Bumavidez beating a shot yarde isn't impressive.

The correct answer is Bam Rodriguez. He absolutely outclassed the 2nd best fighter in his weight class, an active and undefeated world titlist who had two belts not long ago.

Between the 2 mentioned, Benavidez. But in the bigger picture. Bam Rodriguez made the biggest statement!

Haney is who he is. A boxer who'd rather hug n hold. If he had went for the kill and stopped Norman after the kd, then it'd be Haney. But the rest of the fight was wack.

He's not that good. His physique is horrible. He's not Mexican hes Ecuadorian and hes not a monster. Hasn't looked like one since he stopped beating up 154lbers and a shot yarde
