Some boxing fans are so obsessed with race that it has gotten to the point that when a black dude beats another black dude, you still better just say it was an awesome fight and that the winner was awesome.....because if you don't, it was because the guy who won was black, not because he illegally clinches and holds and stinks up the fight.

Because the black guy he beat apparently wasn't "black enough". I guess if Norman had won and we all praised him for a good fight and beating Huggy, that would be acceptable. But I guess because Haney is a loudmouth who talks like an absolute KO artist killer instead of the awful clinchmaster he is, no one likes him because he is "black".

It boggles the mind. I mean Crawford is my favorite fighter and I have been saying for years he doesn't get enough respect. But Crawford isn't "a real black guy" or something so I am still a racist. We all need to apparently love Haney and cheer for him because he is "black enough".

Lunacy is hard to navigate. The real irony being that supporting a fighter who wins breaking the rules just because of his skin color despite his awful in ring style is ACTUAL racism. It is pretty funny.

I find it "pretty funny" that the only people that mentioned Haney's race are you and shoulder roll. You even took the time to write a multi paragraph post crying about fans of black fighters. Projecting at its finest. Can't get any more transparent than that.

Serious question. I am a fan of any fighter who comes in to KO the other guy and who has a good defense and offense and is exciting to watch. That includes black fighters, white fighters, asian fighters, Mexican fighters. I honestly do not care at all about what color a fighter is or their culture.

Haney is awful because he clinches like a scared woman for large parts of his fights. It is awful and illegal. I really enjoy Crawford.

So rather than get "into your feelings" because you have some racist chip on your shoulder. Why is it wrong to loathe a fighter who fights like a scared female? If he was white I'd loathe him as well.

The question is, does thinking Haney is awful to watch ok for a white guy? Or is that racist?

After reading a few of your comments on Haney I apologize. I didn't realize he was related to you. When a person is unbiased about fighters they can watch a fight objectively and base their reactions on what actually happened in the fight instead of crying tears of joy because their guy got the W by holding and clinching and never getting a point off or DQing.

NO one enjoys Haney fights. Except his dad and apparently you. But because he is apparently "the right black guy", illegally clinching excessively the entire fight is totally fine, as you say, "that is just how he fights". He breaks the rules and gets away with it, but he is a black guy, so he deserves the W anyway.

And no Norman was not excessively initiating clinches. He was being clinched over. And over. And over.

Kudos to Haney for the lucky knockdown shot. Once Norman adjusted and started getting close Haney had no answer. He is awful. You know it. We all know it.

Only a real racist would be this excited subfloor inspection Sydney that Haney beat another "not black enough" guy in such a boring and illegal fashion. Because his fights are unbearably boring and ridiculous.
