I wish Lara all the best. I want him to win but at the same time I am a realist. I don’t think he will. Janibek is younger, fresher with less mileage or wear and tear on his body.

"Long considered an awkward opponent who aims to stink up any fight in which he’s involved"
What a disrespectful, Tongue in cheek way to start off man. Lara was THE TOP 154 POUNDER of the 2010s. Avoided, Feared even, and involved in PLENTY of slugfest type, high excitement fights like the Angulo, Molina, Hurd. He was classy, Technical, and sharp against Canelo, Paul Williams, and Castano.
Lara's issue is that he is cuban, and doesn't really have a fanbase to get behind him, or a big name promoter to create Buzz, hence why he could never get the decision over more popular fighters...NOT because he was "Awkward" (Lara is very conventional and some might say one dimensional, not Awkward) and he has never stunk the ring out in the over a dozen times i've watched him live. He's a first ballot HOFer with a better resume and legacy in my opinion then guys like Spence, Tank Davis, Mikey Garcia etc. Who might have more Titles and accolades but never fought at the Level Lara did.

Did you see the molina fight? It wasn't exciting and Lara got a gift draw
