This division has a couple of drug cheats at the top.

Sigh... Boxing seems to be a game of cheating probably since before the Evander Holyfield era.
It's disgusting and dangerous. Drug cheats should be banned for life if boxing is serious about making the sport a clean and fair sport.Comment

It is so concerning when I have dwelled into the doping matter and you often hear exfighters and other experts in the matter basically explaining how these fighters just take PEDs outside camp to then rip the benefits whilst they are into camp. Some are "unlucky" and get caught with traces that seem to linger in the muscle tissue and released during weight-cuts.
Where there is money, there is dishonesty.Comment

What a damn shame! We don’t know what these fighters are on when they are not randomly drug tested. Here’s another dumb ass.
Just like Joseph Parker; He voluntarily agreed to VADA’s random testing program and yet he still popped dirty. It’s a good thing that VADA caught it early.
Technically speaking, he did not cheat however becsuse he got busted before the fight ever began. He tried though. This is a sanctioning body issue.
The fight should either be postponed or canceled. However, he should not be stripped of his title. Since, it wasn’t a post fight adverse finding.Comment

Disturbing and disappointing but in today's reality not surprising. While separate incidents, my mind goes to the tragedy of the Dadashev fight and begins to wonder...Comment

I thought his improved work rate and stamina was VERY odd against Puello. He showed NONE of that against Paro, and honestly has had odd performances from time to time when fighting on Big events (with drug testing) a Duck quacks...Comment

matias looked unusually vunerable in that fight, i think it was the last round where puello landed a clean left and it buckled his legs. i truly don't believe that this guy is on steroids, where was his stamina and workrate in the paro fight? his stamina wasn't too good in the puello fight either- people here are too quick to judge and then they put fighters like tyson who was on drugs and did all sort of sht when he was fighting, on a pedestal.Comment

i say strip him!!!!
and then bin him lol
this is probably not his first rodeo as they say, cheaters are cheaters, if there is no or little consequences it sends out the wrong message to them
basically what should be done is the exact opposite of what the wbc clowns doComment

Honestly, if he's on something, it's was probably now more than ever because his style and age don't go well together. There is no reason to not believe that he was clean during his earlier fights because he was young. Nothing wrong with that. Though he's aging and the first signs are that you can't train as intense or often as before because you need more recovery time. This is where the benefit of a drug comes in.
It's not like he was a super man of a fighter. He simply threw a lot of punches and wore his opponents down. Nor would it have helped him take a good punch. He's been pretty good at that all his career though eventually an aging fighter's chin begins to crack.
Overall though I'm disappointed because he's been one of my favorite fighters to watch. All out aggression, never taking backward step. Throwing tons of punches breaking his opponents will. I was looking forward to watching him.Comment
