I don’t think he had plans to go pro or was on that trajectory until Marc Ramsey saw him at the world championships and saw his potential and made him an offer

yes, it was simple as that. He wanted someone who had real fight experience and Marc is friends with Russ Anber who goes way back with me and that’s how the connection is originally made.
