nobody "avoided" andrade or lara. When there is not a single compelling reason to fight someone, "not" fighting them is not a duck. Andrade and Lara couldnt sell out their own dinner tables, were notoriously difficult to negotiate with, and did not have styles that 99% of ticket buyers want to see. It wasnt that they were avoided, it was that there was no real reason for the top guys to fight them in the first place............

actually jermall ducked andrade for 7 million at 160. he already hated andrade for collapsed jermell fight years ago.

andrade ducked lara when he was lara's mandatory. after that hurd and castano wouldn't duck him. with 3 belts and real beef with jermell, undisputed fight at 154 was possible. but demetrius didn't want them. he only wanted canelo like a bunch of other guys too.

canelo clearly ducked andrade. ~10 years in the same division and both champions or highly rated and they didn't fight. it doesn't matter if canelo knocked him out in the 1st round. it doesn't matter who has the better resume or who's the bigger star. the fight didn't happen because only 1 fighter didn't want it and that is canelo.

so somebody indeed avoided andrade and lara.

the worst duck is not mentioned yet. chavez junior - golovkin. the fight was scheduled. golovkin would get 2 million and chavez 8. chavez didn't get that much even against canelo. d u m b a s s canceled the fight and never did anything good for the rest of his career.

Lara ended up fighting a ton of good fighters either way. Andrade never did.

without looking up each of those fights, I would suspect that most of them were because it was a mando, or some other "compelling" reason, like someone doesnt want to vacate their title, or pay step-aside money.

NOBODY tells their promoter, "GET ME LARA!!!! THATS THE FIGHT I WANT!!!", because if it isnt a mando or a title shot, there's no reason to fight him. He doesnt draw flies, he will stink the joint out, and after you beat him people will either say "so what?" or they will claim Lara got jobbed on the cards lol.

Absolutely laughable to have Golovkin as #1. He turned down marquee fights with Ward, Lara (at two different points, in his prime Lara called him out, in his post prime Lara again was there for unification, GGG instead chose a useless rubber match with Canelo. GGG also avoided Andrade, and he wasn't as ducked as people think. Dmitry pirog SIGNED TO FIGHT HIM before injuring his back permanently. Pirog would have stopped the hype train. Felix sturm and Miguel cotto ducked GGG. Canelo aged him out. Thats it. GUILLERMO RIGONDEAUX LITERALLY GOT BLACKLISTED AND HAD AN ENTIRE WEIGHT CLASS SCARED. TERENCE CRAWFORD HAD AN ENTIRE PROMOTIONAL COMPANY AFRAID TO MATCH ANY OF THEIR FIGHTERS WITH HIM. Cmon now.

Nobody avoided Crawford. His purse demands were outrageous, even to his own promoter, for a guy who couldn’t draw. He also resigned with Bob when his contract was up and all the stars were at PBC

Of all those fighters I believe Golovkin Made by far the most money. Take a bow Tom Loeffler, Canelo AND Golovkin himself for staying the course until Canelo finally thought he was diminished enough.

Yall are so biased and blinded by hate. And im talkin to the so called fans. You only call out the guys you hate, but fail to call YOUR GUY out when he does the exact same thing. EVERYONE DUCKS at some point in their career, some more than others. Reasons for ducking dont matter either, duck is a duck. Million different things to hide behind in boxing. Different promoters, “building fights up”, “he hasnt fought anyone”, Sanctioning bodies that are paid to rank, etc etc. Remember the “franchise champion?? Yeah, thats exactly the kinda bullshiggety that makes this beautiful sport so hard to love, that and the fans, absolute trash. With almost 40 years of 4 belt era, how many times has a mf’ah even attempted to unify ALL the belts?? Not very many because they are ALL happy just taking on less than stellar challengers with much less risk involved. Hell its not often that guys even wanna fight for belts anymore, let alone unify.
