Tell the truth. Put it in context. Why did Ortiz vs stannois not happen? Ortiz didn’t fight for 2 years because of illness. Think of Oscar vs tito. That’s kind of like these 2 EXCEPT Oscar and tito had at least fought a legitimate opponent in Whittaker and Oscar fought quartey as well before they fought so we knew they were both more than hype. My only point with ennis is the fact dude has never fought anyone and is older than Ortiz and he had an extra 2 years in the sport when Vergil was sidelined and he still ain’t fought anyone. Add to that moving up as IBF champion and not petitioning for that fight right away? Bootsy could already be a champ and this fight would be MASSIVE but dude chose to fight LIMA (go check his record is padded with Indian cab drivers) instead. I just think bootsy should fight one top tier guy before these 2 rumble just so we can see what he’s actually about. Put him in with Madrimov would be a good measuring stick. He just went to Vergil’s fight and got in the ring for a face off. He brought his promoter with him. Anyone with a brain would know he wants this fight next. Ortiz will be seen as a nobody after they fight, so they want to make a little more money before that happens. Ortiz will beg Spence for a payday.lol

Boots doesn't need Vergil. Oscar is protecting him like his most prized possession. With Ryan on the way out, he is in no hurry to place him in a fight he could potentially lose. Boots should wait to fight Fundora or the winner of Baraou/Zayas. He could become undisputed in two or 3 fights max.

According to former WBO President Francisco ”Paco” Valcarcel. He said that when Vergil Ortiz was Bud Crawford’s No.1 contender.

The WBO offered Golden Boy and Team Ortiz two opportunities to challenge Crawford for his welterweight title by making him their mandatory challenger.

However, according to him; Both times they turned them down and decided to go in another direction. If you don’t believe me then google it. It’s there.
