Ridiculous. Bootsy ennis can’t even sell in Philly his last fight was 30% compd and a lot of them didn’t even come. You see at Vergil's fight all the people who were there? Then look at their records. Also the fact bootsy already once turned down HUGE money for this fight from turki costing Vergil a bag. Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows that Eddie is full of BS.

Why even mention a broken-down alcoholic who hasn't fought in 2 years when the man you claim you wanted to fight just jumped the ring and challenged you? The excuses for Vergil are next fkn level. Everyone who follows boxing knows Robert Garcia never wanted Vergil to fight Boots. I'm not even a Boots fan, but he did his part to ignite this fight. Why are Vergil and Fishnets pivoting to Spence, a fighter who will likely never fight again?

If Bootsy wants more money he has to beat some better people. If he understands that his record is a joke when compared to Ortiz”s. If thinks it’s an easy fight like you and everyone says then take less (which is completely valid position when you compare the 2”s resumes) win the fight and then everything Ortiz has will be his. If he wants more money he should start fighting better opponents to give his position more leverage. Tell the truth. Put it in context. Why did Ortiz vs stannois not happen? Ortiz didn’t fight for 2 years because of illness. Think of Oscar vs tito. That’s kind of like these 2 EXCEPT Oscar and tito had at least fought a legitimate opponent in Whittaker and Oscar fought quartey as well before they fought so we knew they were both more than hype. My only point with ennis is the fact dude has never fought anyone and is older than Ortiz and he had an extra 2 years in the sport when Vergil was sidelined and he still ain’t fought anyone. Add to that moving up as IBF champion and not petitioning for that fight right away? Bootsy could already be a champ and this fight would be MASSIVE but dude chose to fight LIMA (go check his record is padded with Indian cab drivers) instead. I just think bootsy should fight one top tier guy before these 2 rumble just so we can see what he’s actually about. Put him in with Madrimov would be a good measuring stick. I had massive respect for Vergil Ortiz since he fights tough opponents consistently and never showed anything other than the willingness to face anyone. Then after he beat Lubin, he calls Boots over and says we gotta make this fight, but when he looked Boots in the eyes and heard how confdent he is, it was like staring a tiger in the eyes. It was as if, he immediately understood. And he started saying "your side was talking crap 1st", and all this capitulation and all this bs that sounded like word salad, like he was copping a plea and getting nervous b4 my eyes. Like he wasn't eager to do it, like was more worried about who said what 1st, instead of f..ck that, let's do this asap. And that's when I knew the excuses would start to come in the days to follow. And lo and behold, they did. 1st from Grandpa Robert Garcia who said, "Vergil has many options, he's a Mexican... He's the money man", and, "if we gotta do it, okay but it might be way bigger later". Then came excuses from Oscar who said, "we're the A-side, everybody comes to see Vergil. As long as they know we're the A-side" (classic code words for pricing out of the fight"). Then Vergil himself, who once said he doesn't care who he fights, said, "my dream fight is Errol Spence, I want him next"... Why would a proud warrior with a champion mentality want a guy who ruined his health with years of alcohol abuse, bad car accidents that knocked him out cold and took weeks worth of his memory away, and got brutally beaten by Crawford, had eye surgery, who has much less punch resistance than before, slower speed, reflexes, & timing, and has been inactive for 3 years? Beating him proves absolutely nothing. Now his team is said to want 10 million to fight Boots, when the highest base salary Vergil ever made was 500K for Bohachuk, plus 60% of the PPV revenue, which brought his total purse to 2.5 million. But why ask for 10 million for Boots when you said repeatedly he hasn't fought nobody, he isn't a star, hasn't done anything at 154, etc? Clearly, all these excuses have been used in boxing countless times throught history. The thing about boxing is that we can always reference all the times that identical excuses were given, to see and understand who really does not want a certain fight. We've seen this movie too many times to count. I thought Vergil was fearless, but he's not, and his team is trying to shape the narrative, but it's not hard to see right through it. None of them including Vergil himself, want any part of Boots
