Comments Thread For: Lester Martinez moves to ProBox TV main event as Mbilli opts for Munguia

Martinez and Mbilli battled to a draw in a Fight of the Year candidate in September, but Mbilli is pursuing Munguia rather than an immediate rematch.

It would be poetic justice if MBilli and Mungia could knock each other out. A duck vs a cheater. But for some reason I would prefer it if somehow Mungia could knock MBilli out.

I expect Mbilli to KO Munguia.

nooo. everybody is s t u p i d. wbc will just make canelo - sheeraz for their vacant title and keep mbilli as interim champion. stuff like that happened with wbc and wba before.

crawford is complicating everything like he did at welterweight. i hate this doing nothing for 6 months and then start talking about potential fights. terence said he doesn't want bivol nor super middleweight contenders (namely mbilli, resendiz, pacheco, iglesias). just vacate and officially move to middleweight or retire. there's no reason to hold up another division for a year FOR NOTHING. if crawford vacated wbc belt, mbilli would be automatically upgraded to full (only) champion and lester would be ordered as a mandatory fight (not just a rematch of a good fight). there would be no wiggle room for mbilli - fight or vacate. instead we get damn irrelevant fights again...

this is exactly what i hate about pro boxing.

Promoter and training team decided to go for the money and risk an L vs a bigger name that once held a belt at 154.

1st fight, commentators were saying MBilli wasn't listening to his corner etc. I understood every word and they were telling to stop giving up space and to keep his head in his chest and follow him around the ring.

That fight took more out of this guy than most realize. They need a new trainer and focus on some fondamentales or it'll be the same vs Munguia and it won't be a draw.. Mbilli has the cardio to outwork most guys and is strong enough to keep them honest. Build on that!

Martinez needed this rematch, who's going to risk fighting him? And, they all know he's got a good team working with him on what he failed to do 1st fight. His build and reach = natural power at close range. Dangerous man!

Mbilli is a tough ONE DIMENSIONAL fighter

No trainer can fix ONE DIMENSIONAL

Mbilli shares the same trainer with Buff Guy Artur

Artur the stalker is a pressure fighter too but has a good jab and can do some back foot boxing

                Mbilli simply lacks these skills

It was his opponent Lester who made the adjustments and started doing boxing moves in their brawl
