He fought and beat Whyte. Taking a major step back now and fighting Franklin is not the way to go in his development.

An in shape Franklin is hard to KO and is tricky. The recent one is asking to be harpooned.

Hopefully Franklin can give the young man rounds. One day they will put Itauma in with someone who can hit

Nearly every post of yours here is just negative garbage. You're approaching 15 years active here and almost 25,000 posts. Perhaps you're jaded and need to move on.

Well well? This is a bit of a cautious approach with Moses Itauma don't you guys think? Or wait? This is a great fight, because it is Moses Itauma.

Anthony Joshua fought Jermaine Franklin in his very first fight back, after being beaten by Oleksandr Uysk for the second time 'Joshua won 95% of the rounds in the fight, and hardly got out of second gear'.

During the aftermath of the fight? There were certain folk from within the boxing community, criticising Anthony Joshua and his performance 'when from my perspective, I believed it was a solid performance. Anthony Joshua beat Jermaine Franklin in fairly dominant fashion'.

Jermaine Franklin was also 23 pounds lighter vs Anthony Joshua, than he was vs Dillian Whyte 'so there is real hardcore evidence, that Joshua has fought and beaten the most inform American Heavyweight fighter of the past few years. Quite easily'.

Jermaine Franklin weighed in at 234 pounds vs Joshua, 257 pounds vs Whyte 'and in his latest fight? He weighed in at 256 pounds vs Ivan Dychko'.

If people want my honest opinion? I think this is underwhelming fight for Moses Itauma 'in comparison to the hype, he has been receiving and the support he is getting from the media machine in British boxing'.

Moses Itauma definitively has some talent, but? I still maintain that it is very dubious how both his promoters and trainers are managing him i.e. Ben Davidson stated that he does not allow Itauma to spar ether Anthony Joshua or Fabio Wardley in training camp. Me personally I just think this is very suspect'.

Anthony Joshua throughout his entire career, has trained and sparred with the best fighters in the world 'Daniel Dubois was signed up to Frank Warren's boxing roster, because he had one good round vs Joshua in sparring. I am not making any of this up, that is the origin story of Dubois's boxing career. He was most likely dominated by Joshua in training, achieved one good training sessions and won himself a contract with Queensbury boxing'.

To conclude: I don't think ether Anthony Joshua or Fabio Wardley, would be avoiding Moses Itauma in training 'boxing coaches can manage and develop fighters, however they want. But from the very first moment, I had seen that statement from Ben Davidson. I thought it was very dubious'.

So he is not training with the best fighters, and judging by his next fight 'Moses Itauma is still not fighting the best fighters in the world. Jermaine Franklin most likely had his overall peak fight and performance vs Anthony Joshua'.

Jermaine Franklin vs Moses Itauma 'It is solid enough fight for a rookie fighter. But? Let's be real. If Moses Itauma blasts Franklin out, inside a few rounds? So what? What is the big deal? Jermaine Franklin has been doing nothing much at top level since he fought Anthony Joshua' etc.

I expect a focused and on-fire Itauma to go right through Franklin. Look for the match to be waved off late in round 1. If Warren is serious about seeing Itauma develop, he might wanna book two additional outings before end of June 2026. One against another top-twenty type and another against Dubois-Parker-Hrgovic-Zhang or Bakole.

I think you're drawing unnecessary/irrelevant comparisons here. I know it's kind of your schtick to try to protect AJ against some (largely imagined) anti-AJ bias, but Itauma is at a completely different stage of his career to AJ. This is a building fight to give him some rounds and nothing more.

Irrespective of Dubois winning a contract off one good round against AJ in sparring (which is speculation on your part anyway), the fact is he chinned AJ in five rounds when they fought. I know you've constructed this narrative about unforced errors and AJ being on the verge of turning it around, but it was a destructive loss whichever way you slice it.

As for the 'media machine', I would suggest it's far less behind Itauma than it was AJ. Some of the AJ coverage was borderline hysterical at times, and the nation really got swept along with it. Was it the Mirror with the article 'the speed of Ali, the chin of Liston, etc.'?
