Ortiz ran from 147. He is 30 years old and has had 5 fights at 154. Not a single one of them was for a title.

Boots and Ortiz did what they were supposed to do. Boots stopped a guy in the first round ranked in the Top 10 by 3 of the 4 sanctioning bodies. The guy had never been stopped. Ortiz stopped a guy probably ranked higher but has been stopped in both title matches. Actually received a severe beating in the most recent attempt. Ortiz is a great fighter but not because of what he did to Lubin. There is a lot of Boots shade on this post. Boots has actually fought current and former champions at 147. He was unified at 47, Ortiz was not even a full champion. Neither has a fought a champion at 154. So exactly why is Ortiz's resume so impressive? Why is he not being called out for wanting to fight a guy that is basically retired in Spence when you literally have another undefeated former champion right in your face?
