Truly thought Lubin would put in a true effort. I also picked him to beat Charlo all those years ago so so maybe I need to work on my boxing IQ.

Congratulations to Vergil Ortiz Jnr for his phenomenal display! Outside of debating of the fight of Ortiz vs Ennis, odd that the guy isn't getting his flowers after fighting Madrimov and Lubin this year.

He stopped in two rounds a ranked contender, who people were stating he was going to expose and upset Vergil, then changed their tune right after learning the fact is that Erickson was always a skilled glass canon. Might not have been the best version of Erickson Lubin, who by the way, I thought got a gift over Jesus Ramos. But is a legitimate tested veteran who was coming off a three win streak over notable fighters like Luis Arias, Jesus Ramos and Ardreal Holmes Jr. So he was still a genuine contender who hasn't lost since 2022.

Just think is odd that Tim Tszyu gets more love from beating a semi retired Tony Harrison or Jaron Ennis over Uisma Lima.

No I didn't. The reactions for those dominant displays varied more favorably towards the fighters who won in the similar circumstances.

Recency Bias? After the bout there was a face to face between Ortiz and Ennis.

Those who favor the other fighter (Ennis), they diminish the recent win to make a point that Lubin isn't Ennis (he isn't), however it is exaggerated to the degree that Ortiz credit from displaying well rounded fundamental skill and ability to stop a ranked fighter in dominant fashion. Ennis however, didn't do anything wrong for pushing the fight, he just wants a lucrative marquee match up that could catapult him, while Ortiz wants the same thing, though it is the most exciting match up, he has options in Spence (hope not) and Fundora.

Ortiz called Ennis in on the ring and verbally admitted the fight is one the best fights that should happen, don't think Ortiz should be that highly critized if it is not the immediate fight right now, specially when Ennis had his own two turns to make it happen.

Ortiz either get a really big financial fight in Spence who is past his best that might not happen happen again, both being from Texas or a mandatory fight with Sebastian Fundora for a legitimate title shot.
