Comments Thread For: The Beltline: Why aren?t George Foreman and the Charlo twins helping retired boxers?
Last weekend I scrolled too far and ended up in the comment section of an article titled: ?Call sounded to help former two-weight champ Reggie Johnson.?...

Good article! Seeing I almost had it right let me be clear seeing that myself a former fighter and others like John Scully don't mind going the extra mile for a former fighter because we love the sport so we give and support due to being able and not feeling like it's to much for what we still love. This is what I stated: Someone else in the comment section of that Johnson article almost had it right: “Fighters nor former fighters from Texas don't have a responsibility to financially support other former fighters who fall into hard times, GTFOH,” they said, with the acronym a bit unnecessary. “I would say it’s up to former champions, their families and your management to resolve all that early on, however it’s unfortunate for anyone at this stage in the game especially a good dude like Reggie!”
So over the years I have seen articles similar to this one, however I react on emotion at times because it's a bit too much! I can't recall all the fighters whom have fail under hard times rather it was due to medical issues such as Aids with one fighter I can recall, or bad financial business deals where a fighter was taken advantage of due to having money through hard work, training and dedication in the sport but someone found a way to take advantage of him, however the one thing I know is everyone love you when you are on top and thriving but no matter what you do in life it can be the same, and if that status change others with throw stones at your glass house. Myself being from Detroit have seen so many fighters take deep dives for various reasons when it comes to this thing called life or living, but through grace we all can overcome!
George is a dead wifebeating pedo and the Charlos are wifebeating drug addicts. Anyone looking to them for help is kidding themselves.
Cite for me a single article where Big George was EVER accused and or convicted of “wife beating.” I’d also like to point out he also was never convicted of being a “pedo.” As you proclaim. You’re just another anonymous loudmouth who open his c o c k holster to get a rise. The two who accused him was during the good ol “me too” movement which has also been discredited. So please, as a favor to all, climb back into your hole and remember the following sage advice. “Sometimes it’s better to remain silent and thought to be ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
