Comments Thread For: Eddie: Top Soviet Bivol Q1 Return Eyes Artur, David, Jai, Saul

Top Soviet Bivol MOPPING all of these in style would make him greater than TBud Naoya Usyk

The Ring and unified light heavyweight champion Bivol aims to return to the boxing ring in the first quarter of 2026. When he does, "Dima" doesn’t want to take the path of least resistance.

“I met with Dmitry and had dinner with him recently,” Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn told The Ring. “The big thing and key with him is that he just wants big fights, big money, and true tests. He's a chill guy, but he's not interested in a random fight. He wants Canelo Alvarez, Benavidez, Beterbiev, maybe Jai Opetaia. He just wants the challenges. I'm sure we'll have him back in a big fight soon.”

That's GREAT news...no point in wasting time after all the delays by taking easy fights when both fighter's are ageing. It's better they get it on immediately and show the world who the better fighter is.

Top Soviet Bivol already beat Artur twice in a row and knows how to fight him

        tuneup would be unnecessary

Let see how David's fight in November goes

he might have to rematch Buff Guy Yarde

or passes with flying colors then targets Zurdo or winner of Cuban David-Callum

He already beat Cuban David clearly. Cuban David needs to work his way back into a fight with Benevidez. He got beat up badly and nearly KO'd by the Aussie/Russian fighter in his most recent fight. Benevidez put a beating on him too.
